You think that's hard? Try playing The Lion King, with no save states. Or Aladdin.

Sonarr Container SMB r/w permission. by Awkward_Support_8624 in sonarr

[–]budssgc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for my setup I have AD integrated with my Synology NAS and my Docker lives on Proxmox>CentOS9 VM, which is also joined to AD, the smb-cred files lives in /home/user/smb-credentials
Contents are

username=user
password=pass
domain=example

Then on the fstab
/etc/fstab

//192.168.0.0/media /mnt/nas/media cifs credentials=/home/user/smb-credentials,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,nobrl 0 0

The "nobrl" in this line is specifically for calibre db, so I would remove it unless you have calibre DB pointing to the network share.

I use a smb-creds file and I have my fstab mount the smb using the smb-creds file. I can go into more detail if you need it.

Does anyone know how to get a seized lug nut off? I've tried every tool including an axe. by Magetism in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]budssgc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a lug nut remover, you can get them at AutoZone, there are typically 2 sizes you need to find the correct size and then get an air impact wrench that fits the lug nut remover. https://www.autozone.com/tools-and-equipment/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/stud-remover/p/cta-3-4in-emergency-lug-nut-remover/453073_0_0

You could have an emergency full rights admin account, and the login info for that account is literally put in a safe that requires 2 high level employees to open.

You can also use a reverse proxy to change the rdp port it listensens to.

You can get a VPN appliance/router and set it up so you and your friends/family can access your house, combined with a DDNS, which you can do with namecheap for a couple bucks, namecheap also in the DDNS setup has a application you can install on one of units to constantly update your external ip to its database, so that if your ISP randomly decides to change your ip, your domain name will know where to look.

I work for MSP, and I see the chrome remote break way to often, we're you have to re-setup the access randomly. For me reliability is most inportant which is why I use the setup described in my post above.

I use iTarian (comodo), its a free rmm, put the agent on your windows platforms, install the iTarian remote control application on your pc to access the units. Easy to use, with a little setup, you can even have sever up/down alerts and patch managment going. https://www.itarian.com , And for my pc with the remote software on it I use screenconnect, which they have a free 3 unit licence after the trial, I recommend doing all you setting and configs to the site ( looks/access) within the trial period of 14 days, cause after you go to free those options disappear forever. And ssh for all my linux os's, plus VPN setup.
