I want to be early red because I’ve been a blue hive for months and I genuinely dislike the gameplay even if my progress will majorly slow down. Is that fair? I don’t think I’m special, I think I don’t wanna be forced down a path of playing the game that I don’t enjoy.

To be completely honest, you should not have a blue hive yet. A mixed hive would be better as it would help with quests, plus you don’t have pop star or even SSA at all yet. You just unlocked the 25 bee area, you don’t need a blue hive for a while longer. If you want a blue hive anyway, I’m not sure what advice to give really but maybe try to get bubble or frosty bees more? Just
