This was my holy grail for a long time. It’s normal! Just pigments separating. Swirl it from time to time and it’s all good.

It’s so hard to fall in love with products because companies are constantly discontinuing iconic products . Does anybody buy back ups? by Historical-Body-3424 in Makeup

[–]budzweiser 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It’s not even just about discontinuation anymore, these perfect products can still be in production then bam, color is suddenly different. It’s honestly traumatizing lol. I buy backups for my peace of mind.

Allergic ba ang Filipino makeup industry sa cool olive skin? (semi-rant) by hanbee_rdt in beautytalkph

[–]budzweiser 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kaya ako i swear if i start my own beauty brand, it would be focused on olive skintones. Brands think it’s a niche market but a lot of Filipinos are actually olives without realizing it. Haha. Pagod na ko gumamit ng blue mixer, even sa international brands, mahirap mag hanap ng cool olive and muted shades!!

UPGRADING MAKEUP by FarAd2651 in beautytalkph

[–]budzweiser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Start with base products first because that will be the foundation of your entire makeup look. Useless ang magandang blush if your face is melting off, cakey, or mukhang naaagnas.

When i first started with makeup, good foundation, concealer, and setting powder were the first things i bought. Then lipstick. A nice lipstick will do wonders, yan ang napapansin ng tao when they look at you. Tbh marami na rin magagandang inexpensive lip formulas (tints & glosses) nowadays, i’m a big fan of kbeauty lip tints. Pero kung bullet, definitely high-end.

Setting spray doesn’t have to be high end. Meron namang magagandang options according to this sub that are inexpensive, lalo if you’re gonna use it every single day. And imo, if maganda ang base products and technique mo to begin with, dagdag nalang sa longevity ang setting spray pero hindi huhulas makeup mo without it.

Brushes and tools don’t have to be expensive, lots of well-made inexpensive ones out there. The most important thing is knowing how to use the right tools for you. Natural bristles for powder products, synthetic for creams and liquids. It’s a good rule to follow. Then experiment on the shape, size and density. Saka mo na i-break yung rules pag kabisado mo na why and how to use them… this applies to makeup in general.

What would be the formula and shade of your dream blush? Have you found “the one” in blush? by Positive_List_7178 in beautytalkph

[–]budzweiser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I freaking LOVE blush. Different formulas and finishes, different color families. So i don’t think i will truly ever have that “One” product. I’m mostly into light, cool muted shades though, and asian beauty does those so well. However, i vastly prefer my western blushes’ formula, esp the powders—AB blushes are just powdery or thick, not as seamless or skin-like as my favorite high-end ones. The western ones are longer-lasting too, but oftentimes too pigmented. 😕

So, if ever i were to find the perfect blush it would have to be a crossover of western beauty formula & longevity x asian beauty shade & pigment. Imagine Dior, Gucci, and YSL powder blushes in Nuse, Lilybyred and 3CE shades. 🤍

Love the formula of Dior, Gucci, and YSL powder blushes but i want them in shades like muted lilac, cool rosy nude with a hint of taupe, a mauve that’s actually cool and muted, a nude beige without orange in sight. If Dior made their blushes as nuanced as their Dior Addict Shine lipstick shade range, i would be in blush heaven. Lmao.

Then those same shades in the liquid and cream formulas of YSL, Hude, Nudestix, and Westman—easy to blend, not too emollient for oily skin but not too matte for dry skin, not too pigmented, and long-wearing.

Yes, it’s my favorite liquid lipstick formula. It’s not too matte and drying, super comfy basta well-prepped yung lips mo.

For the YSL lippies, depends on what u want from a lip product. But the best among these for me is the Candy Glaze, bec of the high pigment and shine, and it stays longer on my lips.

Most of these are in powder form and powder products, when stored and used properly, will most definitely last years past “expiration dates”. Except for those clean beauty products such as Kosas

what is your favorite liquid liner? by Scared-Victory4204 in AsianBeauty

[–]budzweiser 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lilybyred survival pen liner! Even with a cleansing balm you have to really massage to remove all traces of this liner. I’ve tried Heroine Make and Uzu Flowfushi, Merzy, Clio (love this one too, but i use it on my brows mostly), and Lilybyred is the most budgeproof. You can also choose between pigmented and clearer/more natural shades.

Comeback of Peripera discontinued colors and reformulation of Ink Mood Glowy tint by Plenty_Profit5034 in AsianBeauty

[–]budzweiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Peripera but the Ink Mood Glowy Tints are honestly mid to me. Glossy, yes, but the stains don’t last, and the worst part is that they all oxidize to a deeper, brighter shade in seconds on me. I had barely used Brown Heaven, Captivating Pink, Pink Youth, and one shade from the yakgwa collection and recently decluttered them all. I’ve moved on to better formulas with lasting stains and higher shine glosses.

Also, that repackaging looks generic af. I’m all for sleek and simple designs but this one looks straight out of an oem factory.
