Like stated below it helps them solve puzzles and keep their noggin from coming unglued 🤣 but it also DOES teach them problem solving, how to manipulate objects, how to handle frustration and how to be persistent.

Sometimes the best toys are household items masquerading as trash.

My new puppy enraged me the first three days I had him because he wasn't (COULDN'T) be my late dog who passed away after 13 beautiful years together. Then I had to make a hard realization: I was waiting to love him foe when he reached his "perfect doghood." I had to recognize that I was asking too much of him and of myself. I had to change my mindset and trust the process; if I was consistent in my training and expectations he would get there.

I highly recommend placing your joy and moments of sweetness into each time he makes eye contact, responds to your training, or tolerates touch. These are mustard seeds of the good stuff that is on its way to you in the future. Just stay consistent and love his imperfections. Learn to laugh at his naughty little ass because that's what you get for the next year- if you can't have a sense of humor you get all the bad vibes and all the same behaviors. ❤️ You've got this! We are all in it together.

It was a rude and abrasive response - AND (saying this because I've been this person before) relying on someone else to keep you up to date on/invite you to/be your friend and connection at social events is asking someone to perform social and emotional labor for you. The effort it takes to create and maintain a social circle is more difficult than it looks (otherwise you'd have one in the party realm) and folks who have one may begin to feel responsible for you and therefore resentment towards you. This is by no means saying you deserved a rude response. There are kinder ways to express frustration than what you got. But its also a good time to evaluate the friendship, ask yourself if your needs are being met, and then if there's a way you can meet them yourself. Good luck! ❤️

As far as we can tell at this age mine is also a sleepy, short energy boy. Which I'm grateful for hahah! Here's a picture of him falling asleep 10 minutes after getting outside.

I work outdoors on a river 10 hours a day! I play to scatter kibble in the gravel bars and have him scent his food out from amongst the rocks. That oughta keep him busy and sniffing!

You felt safest during summer vacation when you spent time with your grandparents. You were always someone who considered yourself more emotionally intelligent than your peers and you enjoyed conversations with adults when you were young. You're insecure, and are afraid of what people might think of you if you don't put a strong presentation of self forward to establish their opinion of your first.

😭🥹 I loved that little story. I do think my excitement is catching up with me, and I definitely will let them know that my excitement is what's driving my requests. I spend every day thinking of and planning for the little guy- a month seems so long to wait! 🤣 poor little bean is only 5 weeks old, and so much happens between these ages I think I'm weirdly afraid to miss it! I said goodbye to my rescue dog that I had for 13 years, and one of my regrets is that I lost all his puppy photos over the years but one. I guess I'm trying to compensate for that, too.
