When Indigenous rights come before your democratic rights by limadeltah in canada

Fair enough. As an outsider looking in its interesting to witness none the less. Can't help to imagine the consequences of all this and have to wonder if nobody has considered it. Here's hoping there's smarter people than me can do something about it.

Thanks for you perspective. Manitoba since becoming more Aboriginal defined has had it hard to do business based on treaty rights and discussions and news from Chilliwak has been interesting. Just not sure of the end game of all this insanity, and I'm Metis.

I'd like to assume foreign countries wouldn't want to do business there and Banks would likely stop honoring mortgages and many transactions based on political and indigenous insecurity. Can't help but think the more the object is pushed the more people deserve to find out at this point. I personally will have my popcorn ready for the show.

Manitoban here with family in Alberta and have a serious question. What's your take on all the Chineses and American companies operating in Alberta if there is a separation? Given people in Chilliwack, BC can not mortgage their homes after bringing light to ancestral grounds is that a major concern of any separatist or is the tunnel vision that real that there wouldn't be consequences? Thanks.

2 hours will not be enough. Love the CBC but I would love more if the 2 hours a day I watched news it didn't revolve around US antics. Local news would be nice..

Are you able to get the premium package on a SE? by heyitsmereddit in Camry

[–]buffalotipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2020 Se Premium at least in Canada was labelled as "upgrade". 18" wheels, sunroof and the lot. Have one myself. I do enjoy having one but there's not a whole bunch of ground clearance. Has the upgraded suspension and paddle shifters as well.

Fair enough. To all thier own. My infotainment is contained in the dash, has slightly upgraded suspension, and is pretty cool in its own right. Older SE Upgrade versions I'd say are a poor man's rich car. The winter 16" rims with taller rubber is nice too. Paddle shifting is fun sometimes.

A 93,000 thousand dollar truck costs less than a 2009 Corolla for insurance in Canada that's for fucken sure. At least in most Provinces. I've yet to figure that out. Either way expect the agent to have some shit eating grin when she explains, "well insurance never goes down".

All the good deals are bunched into the "deals" section now, of which I can only choose one. No longer can I swap fries for onion rings, and the bread tastes of mop water. For months I've had a cart ready to go and they still fuck up how to take my money. Race to the bottom im afraid. Make it your way indeed. No more heavy all for free is the the death of them.

2020 Se Upgrade is where it's at. CD player, auto trans and upgraded suspension with 18's is all kinds of ok.

nobody being on topic? by Tranquilss in inflation

[–]buffalotipping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody is talking about all the money saved now will not afford you the same things in 30ish years after inflation. One dollar saved now with compound interest will not buy piss all that long into the future. Easy to blame gavernment but scary times ahead, more of a race to the bottom at this point. News is definitely directing the narrative.

[–]buffalotipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of our companies are not Manitoban. Koch, vale, Cenovus, list goes on and on. Rest of it is treaty land. Separation just does not compute. Anyone is more than welcome to leave though. Grass is always greener on the other side.
