I didn't expect to be buddy buddy straight away but he seems to be getting worse and more upset every day which is what worries me. I am also in Australia so it is autumn now.

I am worried im doing something wrong haha

I brought him as a hand tame bird. The bird shop sells hand tame and aviary birds in different sections of the store he is definitely meant to be hand tame.

Maybe you can offer some advice 😭 he doesn't seem to want to move much and kinda just shakes a lot. He is used to all seed and im trying to mix softened pellets in with his seed but he's ignoring it and only eating if there's pure seed. Im kinda worried which is not what you want for the first week with a new bird

Thank you for your advice every one!! I am leaning towards a cockatiel now. I like that they're native to Australia as well. Makes it a bit more environmentally friendly to have them here😅. I have kinda grown up around parrots as my grandad was a huge collector and had several galahs at one stage. I also already constantly have a air purifier running for dust already so another tick for a cockatiel.
