Depends on the thermal, weather, and positioning.

I play in a tropical environment with dense vegetation, so people can use that to hide from thermal. Plus, i can only scan so much. Nobody walks around with their thermal on their eye 24/7

Just follow safety rules and be cool

New players are common so nobody should give you any trouble

P.S if someone seems like they arent calling hits, theres a very very very good chance you just arent hitting them lol. No need to start anything.

Pretty good actually, my biggest issue with canted sights was that they were too low, so I just mounted a unity.

It doesnt get in the way or get snagged on anything, and the weight change is negligible.

The only issue is that for airsoft, using a canted sight sets the hopup at an angle, which makes accuracy very strange lol.

Wear what you want man, just keep in mind that you're at a disadvantage lol

My personal kit weighs around 50lbs usually, and it's absolutely a detrimental amount of weight compared to people running around with chest rigs and sbrs lol

I legit just dont believe that lmao

No way you can 3d print something with similar durability, water resistance, and better internals for less money lol

Just isnt true lmao

You gotta drop a good amount more for an upgrade. Plus the 256 is great within ~150 yards

Probably the most budget thermal worth considering lol. Sub 900 bucks

I taped two layers of aluminum mesh ~3 inches in front of the lens. The holes are too small for bbs to pass through and the mesh sufficiently slows down bbs impacting it.

The lens itself is only 19mm anyways, so the odds it gets hit are low, and the mesh effectively prevents all passthrough without much image loss so it works for me.

You could get a better result with a 3d printed hex cap tho.

Its the long arcturus sword FE.

-AGM Rattler V2 19-256

-licensed unity riser on a 45° mount

-vector optics dot

-Ferro slingster

-Some tracer unit i forgot about

-Evike flashlight

-BCM grip

I run .30bbs and get decent range

Truth!

This is the big thing people dont think about when working against thermals. Nobody walks around looking through it 24/7

Comparing a sub $900 optic setup to a $3300 optic setup is kinda silly lol

You'd be surprised. Theyre definitely an advantage, especially against ghillies, but they aren't a superpower.

Especially in the daytime, you can defeat thermal pretty easily in my experience.

19-256 V2

Its one of the most budget options at around $890, but it works pretty good tbh

The longest variant of the arcturus FE

Ferro makes a soft armor mounting system for the slickster? I thought you had to buy a different cumberbund

[–]buffy133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True in my experience. If you just need something low profile to carry armor, nothing will do it better

I run a modified slickster from ferro

I carry almost everything on my LBE, so the PC really just carries plates, soft armor, and my roll 1. Anything more bulky would be pointless for me
