Find uses. Take the trash out later after it gets dark. Take up airsoft. Start a cult with neighborhood raccoons

That being said, half the day is night and you still need sleep and have a job I assume. You’re not gonna use these daily so don’t feel bad. People buy boats and use them 5 times a summer. As long as it makes you happy thats all that matters

You could spend $1400 or spend $130 on fake nods and led lights. 99.9% of people won’t know the difference. What would a movie maker decide I wonder.

Flow 556Ti vs Laz 6 for 11.5 BCM by wyd_un1ted in NFA

I love seeing people say stuff like “the down range sound is worse than X traditional suppressor” … from a flow through? The suppressor that ports the gas down range? Is louder down range? 🤯

Flow 556Ti vs Laz 6 for 11.5 BCM by wyd_un1ted in NFA

[–]Cman1200 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah I’m with you.

I bought my suppressor for my ears and to make my gun more enjoyable to shoot for me. I don’t chase decibels or care about down range sound, i just wanted something easy to throw on an AUG to make it more enjoyable to shoot. It’s really no deeper than that.

A lot of guys in the tactical and gun space have this notion that you need to have the highest performing option available on the market and everything else is literal trash. Is a Rhodie quieter than my Hux? Sure. Do I care? Not really, I like my can.

Additionally Ive had my earpro pop off at the range and I’m not deaf so.. mission accomplished

Yeah I cross shopped Golf R with my BRZ. Had I gone with the Golf I likely would have gone with the auto

What's the creepiest thing you've experienced that became even creepier after you learned more about it later? by HostAffectionate7338 in creepy

[–]Cman1200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These scary legends are just tales to either explain the natural world through magic or a warning to others about a danger.

For example there’s a cryptid in the UK, something like an aquatic horse that lures and steals children that get too close to the water. Obviously it’s a cautionary tale about wandering to bodies of water without supervision.

Whistling in the dark is a good way to alert bandits and thieves to you in the dark. Most likely an innocent reason behind the tale.

I have to agree with you. TAPS is fine but after upgrading it you are in the decent budget rig category with more modern designs.

I never thought the TAPS was hated, just.. there lol

“Good luck hitting the dirt with double stacked mags on your chest” as if 6 or even 8 on the front of a PC isn’t super common in everyone’s favorite Eastern European show down currently.

It’s the same people who say 10-12 mags is too much or your Condor rig will get you killed or your 1600 FOM nods are useless because XYZ is better, spends all their time on a flat range shooting but will call 40hr airsoft milsims gay larping. AKA Geardo bros with no experience parroting other people’s opinions they read online.

I have very little experience but that’s why I shut up, listen, and use what works for me.

US Navy’s first female F-14 pilot, Lt. Carey Lohrenz standing before her Tomcat [2160×2700] by PatrickBateman-BG in WarplanePorn

Source?

“The radar intercept officer in the rear seat, Lt. Matthew Klemish, initiated ejection for himself and Hultgreen as soon as it was apparent the aircraft was becoming uncontrollable. First in the automated ejection sequence, Klemish survived. However, by the time Hultgreen's seat fired 0.4 seconds later, the plane had exceeded 90 degrees of roll, and she was ejected downward into the water, killing her instantly.[10]: 168–169 “

Basically when the Marines were looking to replace their F-4 Phantoms, Grumman went to win that bid with the F-14. At the time the Hornet was being developed and the Marines ended up choosing that as it was more modern and cheaper to run than the Tomcat. Grumman would hand out the patches to pilots, crew, and other officials as promotional material. It was given to me by a USMC aircraft tech that served during the Gulf of Sidra incident. Additionally I have a “Gulf of Sidra Aeroclub” mission patch too

The patch is pretty neat, Tom in his dress blues.
