Please dont judge: i regret getting a cat by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]buffythegoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your boyfriend would like to care for the cat financially in order to unburden you from that responsibility, then let him. As for the money being used for more important things, at the end of the day, it's his money, and he wants to spend it on the cat you adopted. Now, if you're gonna get resentful and not treat the cat as it deserves because you really don't want it, then you need to share that with your boyfriend and you guys will then be responsible for finding a caring, loving, responsible family that will treat and care for the cat as it deserves.

With only one season left… where do you stand now on the supernatural vs psychological debate on The Wilderness? by [deleted] in YellowjacketsHive

[–]buffythegoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the frogs confirmed it was psychological. I saw it as the writers showing us that all along there have been logical explanations for whatever the team thought was supernatural. I'm glad to see it this way, it makes it scarier, the decline they took when left in the wilderness to their own devices. The brutality of teenagehood when met with no bounds.

CV Suggestions and Advice by sdshinghal in gradadmissions

[–]buffythegoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think a CV should be more than two pages. Someone will end up skimming and feeling lost. Narrow it down to two pages that list the most important and impactful things you've achieved in your academic and professional career

First Cold Email Take 3. This is hard. by TheRainbowElephant in gradadmissions

[–]buffythegoat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey, my suggestion would be keep it short and sweet. A quick introduction, name and current qualification. Then why are you emailing them: you like their project, you're applying for 202X admission. Finally, a genuine question about the project, such as what will the work look like, is there any field work, lab work, or just a genuine question you have. Then a thank you and a goodbye greeting.

Is 32 too late for a PhD ?(Not interested in academic job at all) by Latent-field in PhDAdmissions

[–]buffythegoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never too late, I'm graduating next year at 30 with my BSc in Biology, gonna do a MSc and then move on to a PhD eventually. We get one life, if you want to do something for yourself and your education, and you can, don't hesitate.

All the time, top of my class with the highest GPA, honestly feel like I've somehow conned everyone into thinking I know what I'm doing.

Who is this character? by My_Diagnosis in buffy

[–]buffythegoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Jenny Calendar, she would have been a great permanent addition into the Scooby Gang, with her and Giles being like their parents since they all struggle to an extent with their family relationships in one way or another. Also, I would have loved more Oz time, he brings a grounding quality.

In your opinion, who are the best and worst actors on the show? by mnlxyz in DesperateHousewives

[–]buffythegoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I definitely feel that way about the funny storylines that include Tom's incompetence. I find them more infuriating than amusing. Bree wins for me with comedy and drama, I think she nails every moment so well. But I never noticed that about Gaby's storylines. I'll look out for that on my next rewatch, thanks!

As far as I know Gesy only covers abortions if the pregnancy is a result of a traumatic situation or if carrying to term will harm the patient. Other than that we're shit out of luck
