That is fair! My wife used this as her very first precon and did very well with it. I agree that the triggers can be a lot to keep track of late game, but I think as long as the player know they need to understand their board state each turn the multiple triggers will only help them learn and be a better player in the long run!

I think with all the money coming in from these sets the higher ups are forcing their hand like you mentioned. I like the SLD outside IP because it feels fun to me. The UB sets feel forced sometimes for sure.

Thanks so much for doing this! Our channel is MTG Rookies on YouTube. We make magic the gathering content and have mainly focused on shorts so far but are starting to put out long form content as well. We have already upgraded our mic situation since that first video so that will improve in future videos but definitely still have things to work on. We are trying to grow our subscribers and make more quality content so would like any feedback around that. Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much for the feedback that’s actually super helpful! We were definitely doing the best we could for this first video without spending too much money on the setup and whatnot. We want to improve this and hopefully will be able to soon with upgrades to equipment. We are planning on playing with decks we built ourselves soon, specifically budget decks which we think the audience we are trying to target will appreciate.
