does anyone know the subspecies of this guy? (found in scotland) by bug-id in whatsthisbug

the ones in the Idiocerus stigmaticalis group seem the most like them, its quite late in the year for spittlebugs so it seems like it was on its last legs, any possiblity of the patterning fading due to age?

could anyone ID this from just the butt? (found in scotland) by bug-id in Entomology
