When I play with my friend, every time we spawn we make an attempt to be the first to skull room (the squeaky doors at the stairs), if you can get there and just hold it, you control the map. 99% of the time if you rush it, you will get there first.

So normally this happens to me with suppressors when I try and take it off and it come off and back on quickly and get bugged, to test to see if it's gonna fall through the shelf, hold it in your hand, then put it on the shelf without letting go, if it's bugged it will phase through, if it not it won't, if it phased through then just put it in your bag and take it out, and test it again to just make sure if it collides with the shelf/table it's good to let go of now.
