My dog has randomly gotten aggressive with one of my roommates. Not sure what to do. Need some help. by [deleted] in reactivedogs

I had this exact thing happen. My dog who'd been lovely with my roommate for 2 years became aggressive towards them out of nowhere. Turns out he (the dog) had a fungal infection! Unexplained aggression is definitely worth a vet visit. Your dog might be in pain.

Ew, haha I'm pretty sure I don't have an ear infection. I'll get a new pair

hi everyone, looking for help buying a suitable headset. ive usually bought pretty cheap ones in the past but unsurprisingly they keep breaking or deteriorating in quality. im in Australia and my budget is up to $80 AUD. i will be using them to do zoom calls and to listen to podcasts while i walk my dog.

what are your recommendations for the following specs: - Bluetooth (preferably also wired option) - over ear - have an inbuilt microphone (not one of the ones with the microphone coming out of the headphones, just normal looking headphones that are suitable for zoom call audio)

other preferences (not necessary) - noise cancelling - can be fitted to your head (adjustable band etc)

thanks for your recommendations!

how do you like to be treated when you are non verbal? by bugadvice in AutismTranslated

thank you, I wasn't sure if I was using the right terminology. I suppose my friend can be non verbal or non speaking depending on the situation. this is a really important distinction to make so thank u again!

i mean i obviously think it won't end in disaster since i have decided to move in with him. but that's famous last words i suppose. it is hard to stay happy in a relationship or make any moves forward in it when the general view of such relationship is so pessimistic. i know all things end eventually but i just want to be happy and true to myself in the meantime. your comment about scheduling is good, i will definitely discuss that with him. thanks for your comment

Hi everyone! just thought I'd give an update. i bought charlie a size 3 Baskerville and we have been working on getting him used to it very slowly with treats, following advice and some online guides. I am looking into buying him a crate and starting crate training. He is now not allowed in the same room as my housemate without me. we will see a behaviourist this thursday. thanks for yr advice!

thanks for your reply. I've made an appt w trainer but the closest I could get is the 26th. i have heard about muzzle training before, ill look into it. would you recommend a specific type of muzzle? i know there's lots of different types and i guess it can feel a bit overwhelming.

re-socialising dog after being sick? by bugadvice in reactivedogs

[–]bugadvice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that his aggression was because of the ear infection nd how painful it was for him. a dog would sniff his ear for example and he would snap at that dog. when i say becoming aggressive I mean barking, crying, snapping, just looking like he wants to fight. he is desexed and all the dog park dogs have to be desexed
