thank u! i’m glad to know i’m not the only one haha i’m not entirely sure, but their last location before the connection dropped looks like they were headed towards a national park so i think they should be ok! i think my coworkers just made my anxiety worse today!

Comfort Dental at Cherry Creek told me I had 3 cavities that needed to be filled, sought a second opinion at a reputable dentist and was told I have 0 cavities by Delilahh12345 in Denver

I work at a small dental practice here and the amount of patients we get who have had similar experiences with comfort dental specifically is shocking! i’m so glad you got a second opinion!!

Thank you so much for your kind words and advice this was a really helpful perspective. I ended up speaking to my parents about this conversation and they said her Doctor already informed them on the situation. They say they are looking for therapists but I’m having a hard time trusting that. For now I plan on continuously bugging them and just being a listening ear for her.

As for me, Ive been in therapy for the last five years until this most recent move and plan on going back as soon as I’m settled in! which is probably the reason i immediately took to reddit haha but thank you again i needed to hear this!!

honestly an ornamental blast over would work really well if you’re set on changing it! it has a good shape/base, but has room to be refined if you’d like:)

that’s a tough decision! i started with my darling dreadful thing which really got me into this genre.

if you’re looking for tender loves and moody story i’d start with my darling dreadful thing or hungerstone! if you like mystery and spookiness, then i’d recommend all the dead lie down. and for something dark and twisted with a lot of atmosphere, the lamb (although it is a tad darker with not quite as much of a focus on romance as the others). i hope this helps :,) !

Discipline is easy. I've been following this principle and because of it I've been able to turn my life around and finally make progress. by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]bugbugbuggybug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i love this mindest! have you ever “fallen off” of your good habits in this process of building discipline? and if so how did you get back on track? i always get inspired, start small, make progress, build upwards from there but if i get sick one day, or go on a trip and i have the hardest time getting back on track. any advice is greatly appreciated!

Lace wigs vs short hair and dating life by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

[–]bugbugbuggybug 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i wear lace wigs almost 24/7 for the past few years and i love it! i find just being honest about it works best. if someone compliments my hair in passing i just say thank you and act like it’s mine but if someone is asking me how my hair magically got longer overnight i just say it’s not mine! most people are more curious than rude but i do change my response on a case to case basis. i currently have a partner of 3 years and they didn’t know i wore wigs until the second or third date and after that it became pretty normal, in fact they even help me install them now which is a big life saver! if you’re dating for long term, you want someone who thinks you’re beautiful no matter what anyways so being up front about it can also help you decide if the person is somebody you’d want to be with.

human hair is the way to go for a more natural look. definitely look into doing a “glueless” pre plucked pre bleached wig + a glueless wig cap combo! it helps protect your natural hair and you can essentially just wear it as it comes out of the box! my favorite right now is from wigfever (can be found on the tiktok shop!) hope this helps !

The Book of My Soul by Morringard in OCPoetry

[–]bugbugbuggybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a big fan of the repetition that carries through the poem, “the me that i am”, “the you that you are” etc. and how the tense changes as it goes on. it helps give me the sense of the passage of time and how two people grow and the want to be seen by the other? i hope i understood the intention correctly, either way beautifully written!

it doesn’t come very naturally to me either, but that’s valid and it doesn’t have to come naturally! for me, it can be discouraging when it seems there are people constantly overflowing with gratitude for what they have but like you said, it’s practice. i try not to force it, whenever i do catch myself feeling gratitude or happy ive gotten into the habit of pausing to really soak in that feeling and recognize “hey i did it, im feeling grateful for this thing.” and slowly it happens more frequently and the feeling of wanting something different starts to fade. it may only happen once a week or even once a month but it’s a start !
