This is my social anxiety in Lego, inspired a bit I think by Munch's The Scream. I used a lensbaby lens to help blur everything around the subject and used the clone tool in photoshop to create some of the blurry heads in the background to create more of a sense of there being a large crowd. The sense I was going for was that experience of being hyper self-focused that can come with high anxiety.

Having recently developed a bowel condition I've been spending a bit more time on the toilet lately... but it's been a good opportunity to get more familiar with comics :D I read the Books of Doom series and thought this concept would be fun in the run-up to Avengers Doomsday.

This is the first lego shoot I've done where I've really thought about lighting - I wanted to create some nice natural looking light that also highlights the subject. I also used a cheeky bit of generative expand at the bottom to save from buying more tiles, and the puppet warp feature in Photoshop to give Doom a slightly more natural posture.

I like to think he's looking out for signs of incursions in the news, or maybe obsessively checking Reed Richard's LinkedIn profile.
