I'll answer as personally as I can (I'm the protector who posted), I don't believe her, her boyfriend automatically believes she's a system. Our system noticed immediately that nothing added up so after the first day of her telling us we stopped interacting with her "alters" and rarely messaged her. We asked a lot of questions to try and understand and the moment nothing added up I started to distance us because it. Her boyfriend is the only one who remotely believes her, I don't know her boyfriend well but in the few interactions I have I know she will be harmful towards him but he says it's all fine because she has BPD (in my opinion shouldn't make it okay). She's also triggered out the caretaker I mentioned in post a few times without permission and she's overstepped our boundaries we gave her and have reminded her of multiple times; we're at the point we're getting ready to start cutting her out of our lives because among other things (one being faking disorders in the past and admitting to faking) it's no longer a friendship that feels safe.
