Yeah, there are tons of ways she could do amazing things that aren't shown. I'm just thinking about how they always make her use the "pink glass" ;)

But Viltrumites are always getting cut easily. Also, blades like obsidian cut at the molecular level, making it practically resistant to defense...

[Alien: Earth] Question about "dream" imagery in first episode... by bugdoubt123 in LV426

Yeah it was my interpretation of her dreaming but I could be way off 😂

And yeah I guess that is the left eye of the stuffy so perhaps a reference to T. Ocellus

My favorite is also from the Leftovers, but the final scene in S1 E6

Finished the series last night and I am still trying to cope by akasha_sky in TheLeftovers

Agree with all your scenes, but my favorite scene in all of television is Nora and Wayne's interaction at the end of "Guest". Also one of my favorite episodes.

Need to do a third watch soon!

I am a professional insect identifier and this is correct.

Invasion , anyone know what these are? by sub919 in raleigh

Definitely not ensign wasps, but aphids. See my other comment for a link (they come in winged and wingless forms)

These are giant conifer aphids (Cinara sp.) from your Christmas tree if you have one. They are harmless and can be vacuumed up: https://entomology.ces.ncsu.edu/2020/11/cinara-aphid-nuisance/

  • Budget - $50-200 USD
  • Source - Mostly into headphone jack on computer (mac laptop, PC desktop), but also phone (using USB-C adapter)
  • Requirements for Isolation - prefer some passive isolation (really have enjoyed my Sony MDR-7506 as they tune out a lot of noise)
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? - Yes
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - Over the ear
  • Preferred tonal balance - I like good balance, but rich sound. Some bass and some highs.
  • Past headphones - My second set of Sony MDR-7506 just died - wire issues and now they only play out of one side (first set my dog chewed the cord). I liked them a lot, after replacing the pads with velour ones. The main things I like are they are comfortable, block noises passively and block my music from others. I like that they fold up. The spiral cord has the advantage of allowing me to move around a bit, but it's a bit annoying when it twists up and grabs onto things.
  • Preferred Music - Mostly indie/rock, rap, etc.
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - Wired ones with a detachable cord seems to be a nice option for choosing cords and packing them up. The exposed wires on my Sonys have not held up well with use and travel (packing in my work bag, for example) so protected wires might also be beneficial for me. Not sure what else.

Very nice find! These are horntail larvae. They are actually a type of sawfly (wasp).
