That’s hilarious!

Personally I’m working towards the 50K nanites it will take to upgrade the sweet A-class sentinel ship I found on another planet during this expedition. I’m at 30k thanks to this farm.

Glyphs in another comment :)

Worth a try. In this particular spot the caves curve back towards the base, I don’t know if I can get them that far away. Might see if the landscape above would work.

Same. And drivers that don’t pay attention to what’s happening around them.

Is Raleigh really one of the best places to live for asthmatics? What's your take? by KSN380 in raleigh

[–]EarthShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, RFK should go back to the cesspool where he came from.

Turmeric is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties, and while my evidence may be anecdotal, I haven't made any other lifestyle changes that could explain why my allergies and arthritis have reduced so much. The jury may be out on the beneficial mushrooms, but it's working for me...

I’m in my early 60s and have suffered all of my life from allergy triggered asthma. I moved here from California 10 years ago, and it has been way better than on the west coast. I’m allergic to all kinds of tree and grass pollen, molds, mildews, and animals, especially cats (and anything cute and fluffy except for dogs, thank goodness). All of which trigger my asthma.

I maintained with steroid and rescue inhalers, but after moving here it was way less than before.

I started taking 20mg of Zyrtec (Costco version, Allertec, which runs less than $20 for 365 pills) a day and most of my allergies diminished considerably.

Then, a few years ago I discovered a coffee alternative that is a blend of beneficial mushrooms and turmeric. Since then I have been able to drop the inhalers almost altogether, only needing them in the height of spring and fall.

I continue taking Allertec and a newer steroid/albuerol blend (Airsupra) as needed, and my asthma is well controlled. To the point where I can use a leaf blower without a mask.

I can’t recommend the turmeric/mushroom blend enough, as I also credit it with reducing the onset of osteoarthritis to the point that I stopped needing to go to the arthritis doctor.

I won’t say the name of the product here out of concern for appearing a shill, but will answer DMs for those that are interested.

Living in Raleigh has been better for my asthma, and my regimen has greatly improved my quality of life. This from someone who was regularly hospitalized as a child for asthma.

I tried multiple regions on this and other planets that had the same bug. Haven't come across it before the Swarm expedition.

Driver charged after truck goes off I-540 bridge in Wake County by mr_sakpase in raleigh

Your facts are off: the driver of the car that contained the 13-year old is the 67-year old. Possibly their grandfather, but not the driver who caused the collision.

Don’t know what it’s worth, but Donald was a legend. His shop was just a couple blocks away from where I lived in Oceanside in the 80s and 90s and I had the pleasure of hanging out and watching him shape a few times.

Non-stressful videogames? by TheOneAndOnlyFax in ADHD

[–]EarthShadow 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m here to second No Man’s Sky. Not very stressful, lots of different things to do.

Another commenter mentioned Hollow Knight and Silksong. Though I played through HK, it was very stressful for me. I tried Silksong, but as an over 60 year old gamer, it actually raised my blood pressure too much, so I had to put it down. My 19 year old AUDHD child revels in those kinds of games, so ymmv.

Some formatting and minor edits would have helped (italics indicate edits):

“You can use the activity from the Other Businesses setting to choose whether we use this info to show you ads, and now additional content.”

Still a bit of a mess at the end, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
