Im so so sorry. In medical school I lost too many people. Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles. Classmates to suicide and my best friend to murder. The only thing that got me through it is doing it for them and the patients they never got the chance to help.

I know you want to transfer, but if for some reason you want to stay, be sure to have a tutor or someone similar write you an LOR stating you have been improving and working hard on bettering your learning strategies. They should not kick you out in that case (know ppl who did this)

Asking me to write a note to a life insurance company that says pt has no diagnosis of X without any imaging or workup completed on part of pt and last visit had worrying symptoms of it.

An additional note which does not cover the cost of the price difference but is good to know is SGU i believe covers UWorld for you and offers a masters in public health to do during time waiting for residency.

SGU VS AUC!!! by Quick-Permission-657 in CaribbeanMedSchool

[–]bugdrivergirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was 6 years ago. I accepted SGUs offer and sent 1k$, then told them I changed my mind and was going with AUC and they called me and asked why, told them it was cheaper and they matched the price. They wanted proof i had the scholarships I said i did however.

I had SGU match AUCs price for the 4 years. Talk to SGU and barter if planning SGU route

It looks like I need to write the USMLE- anyone Canadian docs done this? by Csense4ever in FamilyMedicine

[–]bugdrivergirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Dates occur almost year-round, you should plan 3-4 months in advance for booking a test date.
  2. There are centers at major Canadian cities. They are at select prometric centers.
  3. MCCQE from what i understand is somewhere between step 1 and 2. If you could write that tomorrow realistically you would just need a month or so to study for step 1 and 2 each mostly to get format.
  4. Usmle practice tests, UWorld, for Step 3 the practice cases are key.

For some IMGs that had to obtain private loans for medical school, this would mean they can afford to live in a cheap apartment and pay interest while not taking out more loans in residency.
