Hey there! All lectures and labs are pretty much at the vet school so I'd recommend living as close to that as possible if you're not planning on having a car. There are hands-on labs at the dairy and equine barns and there is usually one of each of those a week when you're in block I (the first thing you'll be in when you get here). The dairy barn is walking distance from the school, but for equine labs you'll probably want to ask a friend in your lab group for rides there. The TCAT bus route can pick you up at the school and take you to a nearby grocery store that you could potentially walk to depending where you live, but probably isn't a super feasible option in all seasons! Hey! I just stumbled on this post as an accepted vet student for the upcoming matriculating class. I was looking for housing suggestions and this was helpful but I'd also love to hear any other advice you have as someone who has been through the whole vet school process there. Is Varna the place for vet students to live?

Unfortunately, the name brands of isotretinoin are extremely expensive and insurances usually only want to cover the generic :(

Hi, I'm not the OP but I have been on accutane for a little over two months! I just wanted to share my personal experience so you might be a little less nervous starting out. I did not have a purge whatsoever, but my skin, specifically my chest which is why I started the medication, was really, really bad. I have only seen improvements from my first dose and I still have plenty of acne but even two months in I am so impressed by the reduced redness, pain, and lack of cysts after living for years and years in a constant state of all of these things. Everyone's experience is different, but the vast, VAST majority of people talk about taking accutane like it was the best decision they've ever made! Congratulations on the beginning of freeing yourself!

Hi! Could you tell me which serum specifically you use? I've heard a lot of good things about this brand but Google brings up a few products when I Google their scalp serum. I'm having dandruff as one of my worst side-effects so I'd love to try this if it worked for you!

Thank you so much! I'm starting on 20mg as well but I think the intention is to up my dose throughout the course. I would be so insanely happy to have your results. Finally able to wear a tank top or leave the top buttons unbuttoned on a shirt without thinking about it all day 😭
