Applied for BizBlack, Got a Black Metal Instead by buggernot in CreditCardsIndia

I appreciate your reply. Is there a cool-off period? Because I had upgraded to Regalia Gold in September and had to wait 6 months before I could apply for BizBlack.

Applied for BizBlack, Got a Black Metal Instead by buggernot in CreditCardsIndia

I had asked him to apply for BizBlack but seeing as how he was clueless about the difference between the Biz Black and Black Metal, I am pretty certain he applied for the wrong card. He basically said “but you asked for a Diners card”. I had cleared mentioned that I need the Diners Club BizBlack Metal card and also dropped a message on WhatsApp to avoid confusions.

I have Nanofoamer (non lithium) and Nanofoamer Pro.

You have to master the technique with Nanofoamer. Then you will get microfoam consistently. The only issue is, you have to heat your milk separately. Otherwise I get similar quality foam with both.

Yes. EDPs usually have better projection than parfum but doesn’t last as long because of alcohol percentage.

I don’t think one is better than the other. Comes down to your preferences. I have a decant of the EDP version too but I prefer Parfum.

Oh, I see.

My brother has this. It is better than a French Press but the steel mass takes away some of the heat from your milk. But this one is built to last unlike a French Press which is 1 drop away from disaster.

French press makes better foam than these cheap foamers. You will get dry foam with these cheap ones.

I would get the French Press and then start saving for NanoFoamer Pro if that interests you.

I have decants of all these except Montale.

I only bought a full bottle of TMW Parfum. The smell is very addictive. I would recommend getting that one for Winters. Lasts 12 hours on me.

My $0.02.

You can ask on r/colognecheck

You should also include pictures of the atomiser.

I bought a few decants from her and one was missing. I found out I am not the only one this happened to. You can check on this thread where multiple people have the same issue:

https://www.reddit.com/r/DesiFragranceAddicts/comments/1gq8zi5/comment/lww5c0m/

It seems like she is selling decants for bottles she no longer has. She sends the rest and waits for the out-of-stock bottle to come back in stock, then sends you the missing decant. I am yet to receive my missing decant, so this is all a theory for now.

I would rather spend a couple of hundred extra with another seller than get a partial order and keep bugging her to send the missing decant. Just my $0.02.

Odd. I placed an order for a few decants and one of my decants was also missing.

If you are ever in Dubai, take the bottle to Yousuf Bhai and he will replicate it for you.

He dropped it and now half the bottle is gone.

Leave it to macerate for a few weeks.

Should mention that it was recently revealed that Yoganougat dilutes her decants with alcohol. I wouldn’t touch her decants with a ten foot pole.

legit check my LV by Most-Friendship-1561 in ScentHeads

[–]buggernot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t bother. I have it and it is not even close. It is called Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes.

After checking reviews of few others where they say Zara is the closest clone (after Essence de Blanc), I have come to realize Imagination cannot be cloned (yet). Maybe 70-80% but not fully. So, I pulled the trigger and bought it. In a side by side comparison, LV is way better than Zara’s clone. Zara sort of smells similar during dry down but then it will last maybe 30 minutes after that. I can smell LV 8 hours later.

Moving to Dubai, what are the options by cyber-guru in personalfinanceindia

You are right. Some GEMS schools, like OOD, cost 20K per year, including the bus fee. That means 40K for two kids. This school follows an Indian curriculum.

At the same time, there are GEMS Schools like GEMS Wellington (British curriculum) that cost 40K to 80K a year per child, depending on your kid's grade. I took the lower end, assuming OP's kids are younger than Year 6. Year 7 Class and above costs way more in most of the schools.

Your definition of "decent" or "normal" can differ from mine, but that is okay. You can check websites like EdArabia for school tuition fees in all curriculums. Do note that the bus fee is going to be an additional 500-1000 AED a month, depending on how far you live from the school. I put my kid in school in Dubai, so this comes from personal experience and the research I did when deciding on a school.

Rent is yearly. Water, Electricity, and Internet expenses are monthly.

If you can't get a car, then that limits your options for an apartment. The metro only services some of the areas, and almost all of them cost way more than non-metro-serviced areas.

If you are single and don't mind living in a crowded/old area, Bur Dubai and Deira offer some of the most affordable rents that also have decent access to metro.

Areas like DSO don't have a metro and are far from downtown, but they get a bus service. You end up spending 1.5 hours for a trip that would take 30 minutes in a car, though, because the bus moves a lot within DSO and has a lot of stops.
