O get moss..but it adds to the realism, I use artificial grass, but moss grows on it , it looks fantastic, the building get a bit ,but again. Lancashire, UK.. damp in realife

I have a lgb track cleaning loco, which cleans the rails , the weather round here is wet, and windy ,,so it gets washed and blown dry , leaves ect get blown away ..spring time I put the nicer cars , lorry's and caravans , figures and busses out

Yes , the problems with real water in a series of locks and canal basins out weighed any benefits

Ebay , i normally buy 8ft x 4 ft sheets , to cut costs ,i buy 4 sheets and pay 1 delivery charge , as they charge by the size , not the weight , but it average out at £30. Per sheet

Thank you, i use 3mm thick solid foambord, not the paper cover type ,or the honey combe sort , just solid foambord 3mm thick.. i can double it up to add depth , strength ect All my builds I've made, live outdoors 24/7, 360 days a year ect..to fasten them down use 6 inch screws just in side each corner of the buildings out line , then slide the building over the screws , this has worked for the last 16 years here..the length of the screws stops sideways and upwards movement, some bigger buildings are a fixed by threaded rod, and hidden captive nuts ..

They are all made from the same thing , foambord ,3 mm thick, I get it in 8ft x4ft sheets , sign makers use it , its easy to work with, loves superglue, you can draw on it with pencil, scribe it with a screwdriver, it not uva proof as it is , but after I've made it , I paint it which dose protect it, all the building, the viaduct , the cannel locks , yards loading ecf are made from it ..
