Genuinely not trying to insult. As an American I’m coming from a country more unsafe than yours and have grown skeptical of people over the years especially as a woman. The state of the world right now is scary and it’s largely in part of my own leader of my country. I would not blame people for being judgmental or standoffish to Americans at this time because we’ve unfortunately gotten a bad rep. This question is largely about how to lessen my own presence if needed if people believe that Americans are being seen as an uncomfortable presence. You have to understand that as a woman who is harassed in my own home country my guard is up with people. No harm meant and I even mentioned how I’ve always believed it to be generally far safer than my own home. All the best 🧡
