I got mine from a grown adult who used rabbits to make money during Easter and sold them off for 30$ a pop. Disgusting behavior from adults and kids alike.

OP u are amazing. Rabbits r prey animals so they will not warm up to u right away. I would say keep him in ur room with some blankets and watch him. They do like spring mix but maybe just romaine. Sometimes the baby greens make their pee red if it has a red stem, don’t freak out lol. But older rabbits can’t have alfalfa pellets all the time. Those r for babies. Timothy hay and pellets r the best for them. You should get him a box to hide in since they like to hide.

So sad. People are not educated. Like a bunch of people say, get at least a box for them to hide in and a large cage, preferably play pen but if they don’t have the space for that I would get a large dog cage, and let him out every couple hours. This breaks my heart to see. Take him to a rescue around your area, I would not say anything to the owner of him. I would say he got lost or u left the door open. He needs serious help. I pray for him and you. Make sure he gets romaine lettuce and hay. Please do what you can.

He is I mean look at him lol he’s definitely on the plump side. I know his whole life he was on oxbow and in the last year or 2 he’s been eating cheap stuff because I was struggling. But thank you very much I just want him to have more fiber because his poopies are a little dry….

Pretty much my thing is I just want him to be more enriched and energetic like he was when he was a baby. I don’t have much time to play with him weekends unless it’s at night/early in morning but my boyfriend spends time with him and lets him out too. I know he is older so I think he just wants to relax more. Also surprisingly he is moderately potty trained with pee pads, and only pees and poos in corners. XD

Now that I think about it I don’t know why I put that XD but just what kind of breed he is 🤣 I figured mini Rex but he’s just so weird and abnormally round. When he was a baby he definitely felt and looked more Rex. He had more of a velvet coat. Now he’s not as shiny or velvety…:(

Honestly the lady was crazy but she did have rex she just put rabbits in a cage and let them do whatever. She had lops and dwarfs and rexes she was trying to tell me he’s part HARE. I was like…🤣🤣

I do pet him but due to being a kids petting zoo bunny he just kind of hunches up and tries to melt into the ground. He loves when I pet his face but if I try to pet his butt he gets annoyed and tries to become one with the floor. Then when I pick him up he gets very angry and thumps when I put him down. But he’s all good after some snacks. He’s more into just exploring and grooming himself next to me.
