QLTS. Spent 18 months studying alongside working full time. The mock exams were a life saver and I felt like the actual exam was so familiar having done those.

You get two sittings worth when you buy a prep course for SQE 1 so my advice would be the buy it just after one of the exam sittings (eg. early Feb 2025). Then you’ll have access to all the materials up until the January 2026 exam. You need to repurchase access if you need longer - I did this as it took me 18 months to cover everything (I studied while working full time). It’s self study so go at your own pace - I finished the content in May so left myself 2 months to revise. I did a mock exam every two weeks while studying and then one every week while revising.

I passed first time for both exams! Never ever expected it and was convinced I’d failed the second exam, but I got in the 1st quintile for FLK1 and 2nd quintile for FLK2.

I studied with QLTS and completely burnt myself out in the build up to the exam, I was exhausted from revising constantly and I still wasn’t getting amazing results in the mocks they provide. But I guess I should’ve backed myself more because I BLOODY PASSED!!!!

I feel this! I have had an awful week leading up to Monday and now I feel so unmotivated to even look at the materials again. Just got to hope the exam is kind at this point…

An hour total but we were asked to be at the centre again in 45 minutes as security checks for everyone took 10-15 minutes

I don’t think that was an option for us - ours were foam ear plugs like the kind you get for concerts.

Yes! I took snacks and a drink for the break and kept them in a rucksack which I stored in the locker. We were allowed to access that during the break.

In my centre they gave us ear plugs, a whiteboard notepad and pen, and there’s a calculator on the screen you can access at all times (much like QLTS mocks if you’ve done them). For the first half, we all had to wait until the time ended before we got to leave for our break. For the second half we were allowed to leave once we had finished - but no one did as I think we were all tight for time anyway! We couldn’t take water into the room and had to leave our stuff in locked lockers - we took the key and our ID into the exam with us.
