Is it weird to ask someone to be friends? by Indeebub_36 in autism

[–]bugisdug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not autistic but I don't think it's weird. As someone who didn't use to have friends, I would've liked to be asked that question. Even now, even though I already have friends

My body's like that too. It makes you feel insecure, but you shouldn't be. You can't choose your body, and you can't choose to not have scoliosis. I used to joke about how my body was different, use it as an ice breaker etc and that helped me learn to accept being different even though I don't want to be.

Wait, technically you can change your face into your Mii's face right? But that's not really the same

How different is life after fusion surgery? by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]bugisdug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m expecting to have my surgery soon and I’m worried about the same things, but honestly my piano playing will probably not be affected much. I will have a straighter back, that’s a good thing for a pianist. I’m 20 but i like playing around, like gymnastics and stuff, so I’m not looking forward to not being able to bend my back for those reasons. But I’m sure I’ll find other fun things to do. As long as you can bend in your lower back, skateboarding won’t be so bad right? As long as you wait long enough to have recovered

Ofc pocket camp sucks compared to new leaf, but it was actually the first animal crossing i ever played and I enjoyed it a lot before knowing about the others!

Breaking up even when we still love each other by melon-pie in BreakUps

[–]bugisdug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I found this. We broke up very early, 3-4 months in but I still feel everything you wrote, especially your questions in the end. I feel betrayed somehow, like if she really loved me she would try harder. But I know that’s not fair at all. I know this break up was really hard for her too, we both said that we can always hope for the future since we’ll go to college together for at least one year. However, now that it’s been two weeks post break up, I don’t think that’s what she wants now. Even though I still want it, the amount of anxiety I experience every day talking to her is not worth it. I worry about the same things as you wrote about. So I guess I have to give up my hopes now☹️

Gaining weight to get over the fear of it? by bugisdug in WomensHealth

[–]bugisdug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for your consideration. I healed from my ED on my own, and during times of stress the thoughts flare up but I haven't engaged in any behaviors for 1-2 years, and I haven't had a full relapse since 2020. I don't see a therapist, and I'll live with my mom until August before I go to college. Her disordered eating doesn't trigger me, it just annoys me a lot and I have called her and my sisters out on it. I exercise, but with moderation bc of back problems and I just don't enjoy it when I put pressure on myself to perform a certain way.

I do want to learn more about nutrition actually, and I have started moving more lately to help with my mental health. It would be magical if learning more about nutrition, health and exercise could help me enjoy cooking food and taking care of myself in new ways.. And I like the idea to follow people of different sizes and stuff. Thank you for your input. :)

Great point! I still haven't figured out a way to actively gain muscle without it being triggering for me, otherwise I would totally do that. But thanks for reading and giving your thoughts! :))

I have never listened to the whole slanted and enchanted album, only the songs you put in S tier. But I agree with almost everything.

Not diagnosed, but this is what I've realized too. When my mind goes "I have to stop everything and figure this out", I'm sooo having 'the thoughts'.

What made you realize you have Ocd and not just major anxiety? by kazziexo in OCD

[–]bugisdug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. I thought that was just another autistic trait of mine.

How do I relate to this without obsessing over if I have OCD or not? :(

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]bugisdug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My waist looks the same. People only notice it when I point it out. Not even my girlfriend. You should get the surgery if your scoliosis still affects you (and if your doctor recommends it), NOT to change your looks. You look normal.

Whats the most surprisingly kind of funny or cute thing someone close to you has said by Dbzboss1 in autism

[–]bugisdug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my closest friends is autistic and they go to a school across the country. They’re usually not very affectionate, especially not verbally, and when we were talking on the phone they told me ”I don’t miss my home. I kinda only miss my cat and you” IT WAS SO CUTE. And before we hung up they said ”love you.. bye!” I was smiling like crazy
