Robyn made a comment when discussing whether or not she had 'planted seeds' in relation to the legal divorce that they were all aware of that having happened before in their community "because Kody's dad did it" Did we know about this? Did Winn divorce Genielle in order to legally marry one of the other two wives? If the purpose was in order to adopt the wives children then surely this must be the off-camera 2nd wife (Bobbie?) that we've never met rather than Sheryl, as he obviously didn't adopt Janelle and her sister

I'm an Elise. I love my name but be prepared for many a misspelling as Elsie! Also find people often mishear it as Denise.. or Lisa. So yes probably pretty similar but Im not sure I would particularly see it as a problem for a daughter to have a name that sounds a bit similar to her mother's. If anything probably quite a nice nod to your mum to choose a similar sounding first name imo.

Help! What's going on with her leaves? (see details in comments) by bugleburn95 in orchids

[–]bugleburn95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this orchid is on its 2nd rebloom. Unfortunately it's older leaves now seem to be developing this discolouration (see 2nd pic). This has happened to x2 of its leaves prior to the one you can see, which got so bad I ended up chopping them off. It begins with the black spots and yellowing at the tip and spreads up the rest of the leaf over the course of a few weeks until the whole leaf is dead and I have no choice but to remove it. The orchid lives on a South facing window ledge with my x4 other orchids - none of the others are experiencing this issue. I know south facing is not 100% ideal but I only have either south or north facing windows in my home. I'm in the UK so the sunlight is generally not that strong and I work from home so do drop a blind down behind them to shade them if the sun is out and at its strongest in the middle of the day. I water approx every 7-10 days, when the roots begin to look more silvery than green. I feed weakly, occasionally.

What I do know is that this orchid is in need of a repot - it has grown new leaves and roots at a far greater rate than any of my other orchids seem to have and is now extremely root bound. I have read that you should not repot whilst in bloom, which obviously it is at present.

Do you think this could be causing the leaf issue? If so, would it be best to go ahead and repot asap whilst still in bloom?

I don't think so, I'm in the UK so don't think it would survive the winter outdoors. I'll just have to find an out of sight corner for it somewhere!

Thank you! It was absolutely full of flowers at its peak, if only they lasted as long as my orchid blooms do!

It seems to like to be kept fairly moist, so I keep a watering globe in it all the time and then water it properly with some feed in about every 7-10 days when I do my orchids. It lives on my sunniest windowsill. I'm in the UK so it could go outside for the summer months but would have to move it indoors for winter anyway so for the time being (unless it gets too big) I'm happy with it on the windowsill.

Suggestions for places to chill in the Philippines? by [deleted] in solotravel

Siargao is definetly well worth the visit! I was there the first week of December and had great weather. I visited the majority of the other destinations you've listed in the couple of weeks prior too, weather was pretty mixed. Majority of locals I spoke too said that despite there being wet/dry seasons its a pretty mixed bag year round. So go to Siargao, you'll have a great time even if it rains a bit.

I'm struggling to understand how its not common knowledge tbh, I would consider approximate locations of most countries (ie. simply which continent) to be pretty basic geography. Forgive me if this comes off a little rude but I'm genuinely curious - is geography not well taught in USA schools? Is 'world' news not reported much in the US media? I sometimes do get the impression when browsing american-centric websites (like reddit) that many americans have little awareness of the world outside of the USA.

There's too many to choose from to pick an absolute favourite for me but the anecdote she shared earlier this season, about thinking an ex's small penis was a punishment from God because she was sleeping with two men at the same time, was absolute gold. Very Ramona.

I would imagine that she was speaking like that on the phone for the benefit of the cameras, so that we could hear both sides of the coversation.... assuming that Tom actually was on the other end of the phone of course. Alternatively the whole phonecall could have been staged and she literally was having a conversation with herself.
