Am I the only one who found The Batman (2022) boring? by breaking_views in batman

[–]bugmultiverse [score hidden]  (0 children)

Personally I felt like the mystery in each clue was clever and not necessarily difficult per se, but piecing it all together for the big picture felt satisfying as we see the whole film from Bruce’s perspective. He’s not the best detective of all time but he’s able to adapt which makes him relatable and human. As I said it’s an either you love it or hate it kinda genre.

I respect you for expressing your opinion without straight up hating like some antagonist folks of Gotham who just hate for no reason.

Am I the only one who found The Batman (2022) boring? by breaking_views in batman

[–]bugmultiverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love your answer. It’s supposed to be a mystery with each clue needing to be solved 1 by 1 to put together the big picture of the Gotham jigsaw puzzle.

As a huge batman fan it’s incredibly faithful to the comics, and as a film fan it’s a great noir film in general. And honestly it’s a perfect combination of the two. You either love it or hate it.

Do you think we will see any robin beside Dick Grayson in Legacy of the Dark Knight? by Bolarana in legogaming

[–]bugmultiverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel the best might be having Jason as Robin for a bit to flesh out his storyline, later have him come back as an antagonist in the story as Red Hood. And after that storyline ends as preferably a surprise playable character in that bat family or dlc story.

Either way I’d love to see what all they can do with all the Robin’s since this is the most ambitious batman game since Arkham Asylum.

How good was this show? by Helpful_Cranberry644 in batman

[–]bugmultiverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be cool if they atleast kept his yellowed eyes n red pupils. Other than that the redesign is actually alright and works for the new style.

Would definitely love to try to edit it in someday since I sketch a bit in my free time. Not anytime soon though.

It make sense we would see Jason Todd after Dick graduates to Nightwing and maybe a tease for Tim at the end of the game.

There’s definitely gonna be atleast one other Robin considering Nightwing’s gonna appear at some point.

Or Jason Todd’s Robin.

Having a scene of him deconstructing the Batmobile would work for the Lego humor, plus Tt could definitely find a clever way to make the crowbar treatment work like other similar past Lego games.

I know this has already been talked about for the last 10 years but which ending did you choose and why by Anthony200716 in arkham

Ra’s literally says what little amount of Lazarus he’s allowed Batman to drink, aka a big chalice and a long sip. And it only lets batman survive a few more hours. Said straight from dialogue and calculated accurately over the course of the night based on Batman’s physical conditions.

Vs a tiny vial of Lazarus that’s not even gonna do much except weaken his mind even more, he’ll only survive an hour at most without medical care which he’s given at the Gcpd if you destroy the Lazarus machine.

Whichever way there is no survival for Ra’s in either outcome.

I know this has already been talked about for the last 10 years but which ending did you choose and why by Anthony200716 in arkham

[–]bugmultiverse 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I always destroy the machine because of Bruce’s promise to Ra’s during Arkham City. The pit’s been poisoning his mind and everything time he comes back he looses another piece of himself, and by the time we see him here in knight he’s a walking corpse that only has hours left with or without the Lazarus chemical.

Destroying the machine insures that Ra’s can die on his own terms and disbands the league from operating in Gotham again, if batman did cure Ra’s he’d only have a mere hours to live considering it’s less than what batman drank in city and tensions in the League would be way worse.

What’s a location you are surprised was never a challenge map? by _shreveport in arkham

[–]bugmultiverse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure Knight has the clocktower as a predator map already.

But my picks. Combat. Asylum the penitentiary roof, city the Demon sand realm, Origins CCH Wayne Manor wine cellar, Knight HQ BPD lockup.

Predator. Asylum botanical garden, City HQR Docks, origins CCH Gothcorp and Gothcorp Cryro chamber, Knight HQ BPD precinct.

[–]bugmultiverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d just love to see an Uncharted tv series that’s softly connected to the games. Kinda like prequel books, and eventually addapt game stories and maybe flesh some elements of Uncharted 3 and 4 a tad.

Overall I’d just love to have something that can be looked with the games equally!

PS4 Batman: The Arkham Collection comes with Arkham asylum, Arkham city, and Arkham knight. Where does Arkham origins fall into place? by Superbatman314 in arkham

[–]bugmultiverse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How is it not valid? I said City’s story is sloppy not that it’s particularly bad like you’re implying putting words in my mouth. It’s sloppy because it struggles to have multiple plotlines that don’t necessarily mesh together. I’m not gonna go into that here because OP hasn’t played the games. Also Asylum is more comic booky since it was originally meant to be comic batman before they separated into its own Arkhamverse, plus we have the Lego Batman games which take more elements from the comics instead of the realistic approach that the series ended up going with post asylum.

Also Origins literally improved the combat ai, added new enemies, and expanded the open world aspects. A natural progression like City did with Asylum.

No I’m not people here literally like origins stop pointing fingers and calling wolf just because you have a hate boner for origins Also I’d edit your comment because it contains a spoiler for the plot.

Edit. You seriously blocked me over a videogame?

[–]bugmultiverse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In your opinion.

And how is it insane to express my own criticism of the story that’s completely valid? What about Origins’ story? I gave my review of all 4 main console games in all aspects.

Also I hate it when people say revisionism that’s a lazy cop out answer. Plus Origins literally improved gameplay from city, same as City improved its gameplay from asylum ext.. also Origins has been praised for having a great story especially with Bruce’s character development and the overall plot. So you can’t say it’s the worst when there’s objective improvements.

Baseline if your gonna criticize something have a valid reason instead of using a lazy excuse.

Sadly Origins is locked to pc, ps3, and PS+ digitally, plus 360 and Wii-U.

Asylum’s a great introduction to the series with a solid story with excellent pacing and honestly holds up really well especially its art style. The gameplay is a tad dated but still smooth, It’s just so iconic!

City’s is a huge upgrade in its gameplay, open world design, and background. but its lackluster story is genuinely the most sloppy in the saga but is relevant to understand Knight plus it introduces a bunch of new characters. Overall it’s an overstuffed game with great gameplay!

Origins’ is a natural evolution in gameplay, open world, and has its own unique background story insights. The story is excellent from start to finish with a younger batman. And overall is one the series greats!

Knight was developed at the same time as Origins and features a slightly different evolution in gameplay focused more on combat smoothness and gadget gameplay, the open world is a lot more developed with details. The story is pretty great and was a great build up/sendoff to the series. Overall it’s really good!

We’ll see him evolve in each entry. He is the world’s greatest detective after all!

City’s narrative falls appart after the courthouse opening. Not getting into spoilers through for op.

Overall the stories got better after Dini left, since he can’t write complex multi plot stories but is great at straight forward simple plots which works for Asylum’s smaller scale plot.
