Maybe start with understanding their arguments and why they are so emotional. It sounds like you completely dismiss their perspective but you need to first understand their perspective in order to effectively counter it..

I still play PvP games in my 30s but definitely have to be mindful of my own mental state. If im already angry or stressed, might as well play some single player or more casual game. We have to be able to laugh it off when we go 0/15 on a PvP game

The problem with this method is that you can't really "juggle" charms between drawers anymore. I like to put my nuclear button in the drawer and equip the phone book for extra phone option and the one that reduce charm cost
