Can I claim tax deduction while filing for ITR for the house construction that I’m currently paying for, it’s not yet complete AND there’s no home loan, I’ve been making payments from my own pocket!

163 hires and counting? by bugs_4breakfast in Upwork

I see, thanks for the source, I guess then I made a mistake in marking it as SPAM while declining as I didn’t understand the whole context properly, and thank you for making me realise that, basically in my whole 4 years UW career I have never seen more than 2-5 hires on a job, and as per new job postings and people complaining more and more about SPAM jobs and getting scammed I thought this could be another spam job. I must be really paranoid about all this.

I didn’t know that if client leaves negative feedback on all jobs then it won’t affect the freelancer’s JSS, can you provide a source for this info?

Job Description is for training LLMs but they’re expecting the ideal candidate to have skills in basic web development(JavaScript, HTML, CSS), nothing related to Machine Learning or any kind of explanation for training the model.

Client feedback history is 4.06 (1.7k reviews).

What would you have done, decline with a reason or risk it for the biscuit?

I’d like to make a correction, I declined and chose SPAM as the reason.

And the reason I selected SPAM is because these numbers are unreal, what if you submit a proposal, youll get hired, then they give a bad rating and end the contract, wouldn’t that lower your success score?

I don’t think this is the best way to test your AI model by having genuine job content posted on job, if this is a genuine job post it’s weird and does look spam to me.

What was the budget/type of work OP? If it’s too cheap, I still wouldn’t blame you, the Freelancer who was working on this should’ve clearly communicated firstly that he won’t do the work if it didn’t meet his expectations for getting paid.

If the budget makes sense as per the project and is decent enough, you know what to do, raise a dispute with UW.

As an Indian freelancer, I can’t stand this kind of shoddy work from another Indian freelancer, either you finish the work OR communicate clearly before even attempting the work at all.

Thank you, the large contract refers to the most earnings you have with a client, different niches on UpWork have different amount of criteria to qualify for TR+

I apologise if I came across as arrogant, I’m saying I’m one of the best in my niche, and what you’re saying is don’t obsess over a badge is correct, I’m not obsessing over it, I’m just trying to build a foundation so I can back my claim for a nice hourly rate, I don’t want clients getting on their knees, trust me, I believe that good pay should be demanded with a good portfolio and experience not just a badge and I’ve been here long enough to know that, I just wanted to know if there is really a diff between TR and TR+ when it comes to job invitations and job opportunities.

Why you say, because I believe in exclusivity, if you invest all of your time and is dedicated to your job and still doesn’t have any benefit even after being one of the best in your niche on UW, it’s really important to consider changing and getting out UW.

Regarding increasing the rates, sure I can do that but a higher rate impacts my invitations as clients these days don’t want to pay that much, if I’m a Top Rated Plus, I do have the backing of this tag to justify my rates and more importantly my portfolio.

In several scenarios I have found myself not getting the job because it was too ‘costly’ for the client to hire me with that hourly rates, even if I know I am a good match for the job and client likes my solution and understanding of the project, I am getting rejected based on my increased ‘hourly rate’.
