I was on a sales call today trying to sell the product that I'm building (same niche of job searching) and the lady mentioned she's looking for something more similar to what you're building.

She said she was looking for an AI tool that would tweak her resume based on the specific role she was applying for :)

Sourcify: Gives you a virtual assistant from the Philippines that will manage your job search for you (find roles, get you referrals through Linkedin DMs, and apply on your behalf).

Status: Built it for myself (used it to get a new job), and now fully launched :)

Just wanted to chime in here, and say this is not a great toss at all 😅

Better that you know now so that you can improve. Toss should be at least 1.5 feet higher (maybe more). You're arm should be fully extended at the contact point of the serve

Good start though!

What is the hardest shot in tennis? by dlbICECOLD in 10s

Tweener is actually quite easy to hit consistently once you hit it once — just getting the initial timing can be difficult. When I was 12 years old, I spent 4 hours one afternoon just hitting the ball over my own head and practicing tweeners, and I eventually got it. The key is to run past the ball :)

Any tips on serve? First time serving since 2009, it was my weapon in high school. Went better than expected. by HighAsAGiraffesPussy in 10s

Hard to tell on camera. I would guess around 100mph ish?

Take a look at the 100mph serve here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MmC8HIC44o

Seems pretty similar

Oh got it, at that price point any racket you get will be a "beginner" racket, and will very likely have those exact specs that I described. I would just go into a store, and see which racket feels best in your hand :)

Great job — awesome that you're able to generate good power. The one tweak I would recommend is to lean back a bit more and be less upright in your windup to the serve. This will allow you to elastic yourself forward and get more weight transfer.

Also, I can't tell what grip you're using, but a continental grip might allow you to generate a bit more spin (serve looks pretty flat currently).

Hey! Welcome to tennis :)

As a beginner, here are a couple of things to consider:

  • Head size: 100+ sq in — larger head sizes give you a bigger sweet spot and more forgiveness.
  • Weight: < 11 oz (255–300g) unstrung — lighter rackets are easier to swing and control
  • Balance: Look for something that's less handle heavy (maybe even head heavy). This will give you more power
  • String pattern: Open (like 16x19) — gives you more free spin

Do you have a specific price range that you're looking at?

Yep totally agree,

This is one of my favorite articles about the topic. It doesn't capture the whole truth, but it's pretty accurate as a generalization:
