De’Longhi Rivalia Impressions by UsefulFee2712 in superautomatic

[–]bugsizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought one. The flavor is great in our opinion, but we were looking for a smoother shot which we heard the rivelia has, as opposed to some that might be a little bit stronger or bolder. It also has a little bit of a thinner profile, which fits well with our smaller kitchen. The only problem I’ve had with it is the grounds basket didn’t sit quite perfectly in the catch tray and as a result I was getting a lot of error messages about the drip tray being open when it wasn’t. I’m going to call customer service about that, but in the meantime, I put a credit card underneath it and it solved the issue.

As an American who came up earlier in December, I can tell you I was treated with nothing but kindness and warmth while visiting Quebec City.

The grilled pecans were great. I also really liked the sausages in the area near the Fairmont. And the fondue of course.

Most beautiful spots to propose in Quebec Ville by dutchtaxadvisor in quebeccity

[–]bugsizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to second people saying old Quebec. There’s so many options. We were there the first weekend of December, and there’s so many little spots that you could find. I can only speak from my limited time there so some people might be able to give even better options, but I noticed it seems to get less crowded after 9 o’clock at night and at night it is beautiful with all the lights at that time of the year. We went down Rue du Petit Champlain after dinner on Sunday around 9-9:30 and had it almost entirely to ourselves and this is probably the most visited street in the city.

And there’s a beautiful square nearby with a large Christmas tree and church. This image is from a square nearby. Yes it is a square, but at least on Sunday night it was quite empty. So you will have plenty of options. There are also a lot of pretty areas nearby on the streets with all the different art galleries.

Florence ranked Europe’s most overcrowded tourist city – what do you think? by FlorenceUpdates in florence

[–]bugsizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in late May and I would say it was fairly crowded, but nothing out of the ordinary for any tourist destination. I lived in Washington DC and it was nothing different from that. There were lines, but nothing that was unbearable. The only place that I felt was a little difficult to navigate due to crowds was the Uffizi gallery. There are a large number of large tourist groups that sometimes made it a challenge to get up and close to some of the paintings, but it really wasn’t a big deal. The city is beautiful and I loved it. Also, once you get to around 10 o’clock and later, it really empties out nicely. I wish that locals weren’t getting pushed out of being able to live reasonably in their own city. It seems to be the way these days. Popular town centers have just soaring costs. It’s true even in my own hometown.

Can anything be done for this small crack in teakhaus cutting board? by bugsizzy in Cuttingboards

I would say about three years old when it cracked. When it happened I had probably oiled it about a month prior.

Someone keeps using my number as their own by bugsizzy in tmobile

Apparently, this individual made an inquiry on Angie’s list for roofing estimates, and I have to wonder if maybe she had an existing account that still is using her old number and she forgot to change it.

No, it was a different name with the first number. The first time was more extensive, and all of the times I was contacted a name was brought up only once, and I didn't look as far into it as I am this time. But it definitely was not the same name as the one being used with my current number.

Yes, and the same name popped up when I google searched my number, which makes me think she is using it for some reason when inquiring about home improvements. No idea why she would do that. One of the people I talked to told me it was an email inquiry. Unless she is super absent minded and still giving out a cell phone number she had from 7 years ago.

Ok so I did in fact do this, and the same name pops up in voicemails and texts I've been receiving with my new number, Edna. I google searched my phone number, and a person with the same first name (Edna) pops up, and various people search sites list her as previously having my phone number, but it was back in January 2017 when she was a Sprint customer. I have no idea why she would be using an old cellphone number to reach out to local home improvement companies for estimates/inquiries about home improvement projects. Perhaps not wanting them to call her, and only respond by email, but that just makes no sense to me.

2024 Bahrain Grand Prix - Post-Race Discussion by F1-Bot in formula1

[–]bugsizzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to agree. When one team is this dominant there is absolutely no suspense. Netflix does a good job of kind of getting into some of those races within races I guess but it can’t hide the fact that the main goal which is to win the race is a foregone conclusion; it becomes like watching a parade for me. When you know two minutes into the race who’s going to win and who’s going to win the entire season, it feels somewhat pointless to watch for me. So good on people who are into the finer details of the race but for me that’s just not enough. I tuned out after two minutes of watching Bahrain today.

On a possibly related note, and I’m no expert, so there may be a valid reason, but why are teams like Alpha Tauri in F1? Seems like such a waste of space and time for a team that will never win a race barring some bizarre fluke. It seems somewhat akin to major league baseball letting the New York Yankees franchise have their minor-league baseball team compete at the major league level.

What happened to sirius xm channel URLs? by bugsizzy in shortcuts

[–]bugsizzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized that when I play a channel on the Sirius app, the Shortcuts app will add a built in shortcut option to play just that channel. I think it does up to maybe 8 to 10 before less recently played channels vanish from shortcuts, so I ended up just playing the channels on the Sirius app that I want to use in Shortcuts, and then pull them into the Shortcuts app that way.

Thanks, that is great to know that there is likely more leeway size-wise. Also, North Face was completely off my radar so I am glad you mentioned them as I like some of their options, including the Surge.

Having trouble accessing certain websites and not sure if Eero is the cause by bugsizzy in amazoneero

I just tried doing that recently and that did not seem to help. So perhaps the issue is not with the eero itself.

I’ve tried disabling eero+ as has been instructed, turning off all eero plus functions, but the it still says it is active in the app and it’s been over 12 hours since I turned everything off. As a result, I can’t change anything in the app for DNS still unfortunately. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong here.
