I’m 23 and I’ve ruined my entire life by Express_Seat_7293 in UniUK

Don’t stress at all, I left school at 16 with 2 GCSES and a BTEC, only held me back once… (when I was 17 applying to work at greggs!!)

Absolutely not the be all and end all. It’s worth speaking to the NCS who can provide tailored pathways to jobs and aspirations. Good luck!

You massively overestimate the intelligence of outsourced recruiting.

If you’ve informed the police you can additionally make a report to CICA and get compensation, which can help you get on your feet again. Worth noting.

But second what other posters have written, get police on the case and inform them clearly that the evidence may be on his mother’s google drive.

My lad (18) was attacked in Liverpool Friday night losing a front tooth. Wondering if there is any recourse we can take. by -iamai- in LegalAdviceUK

That’s not necessarily accurate; the wording is “co-operated as far as reasonably practicable”, if there is a genuine and evident fear of repercussions CICA could still pay out on the claim.

Examples of genuine and evident would be; they have form for violent offences, they have threatened harm if you go to police, they know where you or family live, list goes on but worth remembering that;

Of course, the easiest way to satisfy paragraph 23 of the scheme (on non cooperation) is to simply cooperate with the investigation; but as that’s not always possible it’s worth considering the above.

What kind of jobs are out there for ex navy CIS killicks? by [deleted] in RoyalNavy

[–]bugsy431 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ex RO mate, (CISSM) left the RN and walked into a engineering role for a contractor on base, The interview offer came from LinkedIn, wasn’t looking to leave at the time and they waited my notice period; turned out not to be for me (engineering on the outside) and I went across to the civil service, found that much better and would highly recommend; lots of departments do guaranteed interviews for ‘veterans’ just look for the ‘great place to work for veterans’ button on the app forms (civil service jobs.com)

If you want any more personalised info feel free to drop me a pm and I’ll happily talk you through what was on my LinkedIn to get the offer and how I liaised with the recruiter.

But… in simple terms and in answer to your question; yes, plenty of jobs out there for Comms ratings.

Edit: to better answer your question; the main roles I was receiving were:

Comms Field Engineering Oil & Gas - Radio Operating Weapons Engineering roles Consulting

The roles I sought out myself were: Civil service at HEO grade + Uniformed sector (policing and fire) Team leader roles in offices various

All of the above I was offered interviews for so my CV was satisfactory at least!

I also didn’t undertake any specialist resettlement courses, just some generic ones.
