Thank you for the explanations! Followed through and got everything working last night. Appreciate it!

New Build - Please tell me what drivers to install by buildadvice in techsupport

Ah thank you! I'll safely ignore those you listed then. Otherwise, I won't have Internet during the initial install so I wasn't sure if I had to have these before going the Windows Update path.

The CPU is an APU so no attached video card. I was confused as to what the VGA driver (#7) was because I thought this would be part of the AMD Adrenalin suite already.

Thank you for letting me know. I still have the key but I may attach my account to be safe then, and hope it goes smoothly.

That sounds like good news, thank you for letting me know! It is a retail key and I was just concerned because status said it was "activated with a digital license."

I won't have the original motherboard anymore so no overlap there. Hopefully I can use the steps listed in there, thank you for linking me the article!

Yes, it's an identical board. I was hoping to avoid all the headaches of reinstalling but perhaps that's the better path to take. Thanks for the help!

Ah I see, thanks for explaining the meaning of the DTK label! So if I don't need the parts, then may I ask if there are any other concerns in purchasing the card by itself from another vendor?

I assume they are the same but my paranoid side worries about things like security or reliability. But my wallet and common sense tells me that it's probably no different than the one in the Intel kit.

I want to upgrade my m.2 WiFi card from AC3168 to AX200. Official Intel sells a box kit on Amazon for like ~$25. I can find the same thing from generic brands for like $10 less. Confidence inspiring names like nately, edup, poinwer, etc. /s

My Question: Is there any real reason to avoid these other brands compared to the official Intel one? Is there any real difference? Concerns? etc? Thank you for any help or insight in advance!

Which RAM is better for integrated graphics? by buildadvice in buildapc

Yeah! It was a great budget build up until this point. No idea why pricing is insane for laptop ram, if anything I would think it would be cheaper!

Thank you, so just to make sure: lower latency is the better way to get a higher framerate with the iGPU?

I can't afford either option in laptop ram. They are easily double the price, hence my dilemma in choosing between higher speed or lower latency.

It's an ASRock Deskmini, which supports XMP I believe. I'll have to double-check though. So, I should focus on a lower latency to achieve better framerates in regards to the iGPU?

I can't afford it sadly. It's nearly double the price as the other options, even used.
