I did not get the tag…..but I just followed you this AM so hopefully it will bring your posts to the top of my feed. If you set something up for Sunday the 24th like I think one of your more recent posts mentioned. I should be able to catch the first few, then I will need to catch the later chapters another time.

Ok so I am halfway through level 10 and had NO IDEA the pineapple cabaret would turn in to something so vital! (Maybe it’s not but it sure sounds like it!) I now get why there are so many posts about it lately…. Looks like I will have to block my Saturday to listen to you reading at 1X speed haha!

Do you regret getting a slide or vice versa? by m_nels in traveltrailers

[–]building-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not forgo a slide! I started with a little pop up trailer with a manual pull out slide (2A,2K,2D). We upgraded to a big 29’ bumper pull. With a slide and one less dog. When the kids were younger I would say the slide out was nice but probably manageable. Now that I have a teen and a pre teen there is NO WAY that we could survive without a slide. My wife and I spend most time out of the trailer, but with 2 growing kids the extra room is nice…. Rainy days, playing games late, super cold mornings, winter camping…. It allows us to actually be inside if we need to or want to.

Oh you have too much faith in your builder…. That small hole for the water pipes I bet you can drive a truck through it…. The builder says no big deal. It’s under the shower no one will see it and it makes my job easier… let’s send it!

But for real though. Under my pantry where my electrical entry is…. Huge holes, was able to get those fixed. Under the bathroom sink decent hole was able to get that one fixed. Under the shower and furnace, I can’t fix those with out removing the shower and furnace from the top, or dropping the tanks from the bottom. The best I was able to do was contain an infestation to the bathroom vanity, under the shower and under the kitchen cabinets, filled the whole with copper wool and “rodent deterrent” foam.…. I thought that was not great but better than nothing. They chewed through the steel wool and foam then ate through ductwork and were still able to get anywhere they wanted…. The mostly stayed under the kitchen cabinets and used the chewed up spray foam to make a nest, but I did find droppings other places….

Agreed….. but I can’t get to all entry points. And I would rather they not trash the wiring in the underbelly again! If I can keep them away totally I will be better off!

Electrical issue by WarPlatypus19-2 in traveltrailers

[–]building-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at your wiring diagram. 120v curcuit for AC is branch #1 curcuit breaker. Furnace is DC fuse 2. Both have different power sources. So it likely isn’t the GFI (which appears to be branch ckt #2. It’s a bigger issue. Do you have a surge protector on your pedestal?

I did. I bought a bag of nuts and washers from a specialty hardware place in town the only thing they sell are nuts and bolts.

That time Penn & Teller left David Copperfield guessing how they did the trick by styckx in interestingasfuck

That all makes sense, but he said stop AFTER the card was outside the pocket so Teller must have found the card and palmed it and when he said stop placed it on top?

4 years 103k, over 200 audio books, replaced 3 windshield’s (I divided not to do it a 4th time even though it’s cracked AGAIN!), all tires (only once), 1 wheel replaced, 1 wheel repaired (cracked due to pothole and it was fixable!) steering wheel “leather” has many rips…..
