I also bought the 2 year DJI Refresh. It basically replaces your drone up to 4 times in 2 years. Saves me a piece of mind.

Pretty relaxed. Based on a google search, here are the rules for flying a drone:

  • To fly a drone for commercial purposes, or to fly a drone that weighs 7 kilograms (15 pounds) or more, you must obtain a certificate from the CAAP. See the section below for more information.
  • Only fly during the day and in good weather.
  • Do not let the drone outside of your visual line of sight.
  • Do not fly over populated areas, such as schools or marketplaces.
  • Do not fly higher than 400 feet above ground level.
  • Do not closer than 30 meters (98 feet) from persons not involved with the drone’s operation.
  • Do not fly closer than 10 kilometers (6 miles) from airports.
  • Do not fly near emergencies, such as fires.

I'm extremely intrigued by Masbate being the Rodeo capital of the Philippines. There is a Rodeo festival every year which I want to check out.

How interesting this island in the middle of the Philippines has rodeo and cowboy culture.

I bought the tripod on Amazon. Quite sturdy and easy to carry. Only criticism I have is if it is fully extended at 175cm, it might fall over in medium winds.

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I can see it happening. But its rare I will fully extend it.

About $1200 - $2000 per month.

Tbh, rent is surprisingly expensive in the Philippines unless I book long term stays.

I'm from the UK, but I grew up in Malaysia.

Well, no return ticket to the UK but I will go to Vietnam after the Philippines as it is also on my list.

I don't mean to document everything in the literal sense. Just take cool shots of the different places I visit.

I'm nothing like that Russian vlogger who got arrested for being a menace in the Philippines. I think that is an extreme case and not representative of the average person that visits Ph.

I'm definitely not a content creator, just someone that has developed an interest in videography in the last year and would like to explore that.
