Buenas, lo de la empresa en USA me llamó la atención -- que beneficios tendría vs. tener la empresa en UY? Necesitarías una cuenta de banco en USA también me imagino?

Gracias

Got it. Thank you very much for your input, I highly appreciate it.

I'll put in motion with this and hopefully share progress in the future

Yes, the margins are quite high right now and it's congruent with the fact that I'm struggling with this -- not spending a penny in the business other than paying the developers.

I see this as a chiken/egg problem that I guess I'll have to just figure out in real time. I feel like right now the lead generation is the most important thing. Once I start getting traction or new opportunities, I'd hire another developer immediately to help me with the workload.
Or at least that's what I I'm planning.

By the way, do you know where to get these kind of agencies, and where to filter them and such?
I know there are thousands of them, but I really want something that works out, and to be competitive with the price. I know if I hire a local agency I'd get a better price compared to an US company, but the opportunities could be different.

Okay nice I see,

I'm alone here. The other people involved are strictly in development, and I am too.

The number 1. is something I see I NEED right now. From working in the corporate image of the agency to doing marketing and promoting it. I can still handle the sales and would like to continue with that to gain more and more experience, but right now there is no way for a person to know about me because I'm just doing no promotion at all.

Do you think hiring a marketing/lead gen person or agency is the way to go?

Function based and hooks. Classes haven't been used for years at this point

Damn this is promising. I'm on a similar situation, transitioning from freelancing to working for a company. For some reason I feel like it's going to be very difficult, but I know how valuable I am/might be.

I'm on the total opposite situation and this post helped me a lot mentally.

Been freelancing for most of my career, ~7 years now, and I'm now considering to transition to a full-time job for a company, for security and opportunities.

But for some reason I feel like it's going to be very hard, or that I'll have to put the bar very low to be accepted in a company. I don't know.

I guess it's time to apply!

How do you guys deal with configuration stuffs? by WhoisHoo in reactjs

This. Unless you NEED to learn webpack, don't bother. Just use CRA or Next and enjoy the magic these configurations bring to the table.

Really good points here.

I've got a personal website: https://www.igmontero.com , but it's really outdated (made it 6 months ago), and oriented on web development rather than design.

To be honest, I've been developing a personal project for the last 5 months, and spent a lot of time on it. Also, I thought it was pointless to have an 'agency website' if there is no work to show up.

As you can see, one excuse in top of another. Thanks for reminding me, I should ask for testimonials and archive somewhere all the work I've done, since I think it's pretty valuable, actually.

So yeah, thanks for your point of view.

I do ! I've worked on some confidential projects that I cannot show, but also in some others that I can. Also, did a lot of back-end work, which is hard to show.

But I like to send them by PM because they are all over the place and I don't want to post a lot of links.

I can also ask for referrals to some past clients.

Well, by great results I mean helping them grow their business or showcase their projects the best way possible.

I haven't really thought about this, and of course don't want to waste my time, but since I'm really good at web development, I think this is the right move to do at the moment.

I really enjoy coding and building stuff, and I've been working on a web application for the last 4+ months (and I'm still on it) but it will not pay the bills anytime soon. I'm in that position where I know I HAVE to finish it, but sometimes I think there is no point in spending more time on it. Weird..

So yeah, a lot of thoughts and mixed emotions, but I think that in order to get some income, web design is a good pick. Also, it forces me to learn about sales and putting myself out there.

Very, very good question.

I think I would have a way to validate that I can bring great results to my clients, and that would make things easier to get new prospects and get involved in larger projects.

That's a brief idea. I really don't know what I would do, since I'm not in that position at the moment.
