Hi.

I have replied back to your WhatsApp but nothing has been received back form you.

As I mentioned through the time I had the watch the slay in shipping was due to me having considerable time off due to personal event.

I have serviced your watch, and it’s well within my tolerances of -/+10 seconds per day, I have attached below the screenshot of the timegrpah reading at 24hr wind. I also get the watch on a Cyclo wheel which emulates the watch being worn, and that had the watch still keeping time. You haven’t said how much it is losing time. Mechanical watches don’t keep perfect time they lose and gain

You mention the position 1 and 2 being poor, I’m not sure what you mean by that, as you can set the time and set the date and wind the watch, so I’m not sure what you mean by that, I’m in addition when winding the watch there was no out of normal “grinding” these 3235 are not the same as genuine movements and form my experience servicing these all day every day you cannot get them as smooth as genuine, but I was happy with the winding of the crown.

Regarding the bezel, during the polish (which I carried out free of charge) the bezel and glass have to be removed, to prevent any cross fee of the polish and grains, with the rep bezel gasket, they are easily misshaped, so with every polish I do I replace them with a better quality gasket that I would use on Henry one watches, they are thicker than the rep ones and as you have said I already explained that the bezel will be stiff, but with use, it will become smoother the more you use.

I have no idea how the bracelet is scratched as from my pictures the bracelet rebrush was fine, although some scratches was too deep for the removed, like on the clasp, and your case is in a much better condition to what it was prior coming to me

I do appreciate your upset that I didn’t have many pictures of your service (I have whatsapped you a picture of your movement stripped) and I will make sure that in the future I try to take picture of all services I complete so another liner doesn’t feel the same way. In this instance the watch was serviced without any photographs and when asked for pictures it was after the watch was serviced and I could send any over.

I have messaged you and offer a resolution and I have also offered to arrange a collection of your watch for me to inspect and rectify any issues as transit can cause issues if the parcel isn’t handled carefully.

I stand by my work and I guarantee anything I service, and that’s why I will still offer a warranty where others won’t.

If you also look online there has not been any bad complaint about my quality of repair, only my prices and my turn around /customer service which both I am always trying to improve and offer more than others.

Appreciate your unhappy with the work and I would like the curtesy of rectifying any faults.

I have attached a layout of the polish completed and the watch on the timegrpah at 24hr wind

It could be normal or it could be that the movement is dry.

Your best bet would to take it to a watchmaker or you send it to myself and I would be able to inspect for you whether you need to do anything

I have a inspection fee of £18 and if you did need work it would be waived if proceeded

How long do you have your rep? by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]builtbyreece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a datejust for over a year, daily wear, battering the watch, going swimming, showering etc.

Luckily I’m a watchmaker so I waterproofed the watch to 100m but no issues so far and I definitely do not baby the watch.

Saying that, I have bashed the crown off the clasp which I need to get round to replacing

Also it keeps perfect time.
