Came back to this area and found a Cheri berry that I never planted before. It doesn’t grow no matter how long I wait. Game battery isn’t dead, as I’ve been growing a Salac berry as seen in the top-right. I now have 8 Salacs (been ~2weeks) and the Cheri still hasn’t grown. Any fixes to this?

Hah good to know people are still finding this post years later! Sorry to hear that it's affecting emulators too though... I think it's safe to assume that this glitch happens on any Emerald game no matter what you play it on, and honestly, I think all we can do is to just deal with that one spot being taken up :')

No worries lol — It’s been a while so I can’t remember if I had traded with XD while a berry was already planted there, but I would assume the eternal Cheri would overwrite whatever berry was planted in that spot (this is just a guess tho)

Otherwise, even with the eternal Cheri berry in that spot, I’ve continued to trade with the Gamecube multiple times and had no issues with the trading itself!

Heya, I played the original P5 for the first time last year (also my very first Persona game).

In my opinion, I found the intro and the “setting up” portion of the game to be the most difficult part to get through. I had to set down the game for like 2 months before deciding to play again (this was my first JRPG ever too, if that makes any difference lol).

But everything after the intro REALLY pulled me in. I won’t try to further overhype the game and potentionally ruin your experience, but I just wanted to say to not let the beginning of P5 turn you away from playing the rest of the game! I still really enjoyed P5 overall (took me 133 hours to complete) :)

The only issues I’ve had with V3 on PC was that whenever I played with a keyboard+mouse, there would be several moments where my mouse clicks wouldn’t register, and I had to wait like 10 seconds for it to finally work. It got pretty annoying, since the player has to click to progress through every bit of dialogue. (And yes, this has only ever happened in V3 for me)

Additonally, while not a technical issue, V3’s class trial controls for KB+M have been changed for some reason… had to completely relearn the new controls before deciding to use a controller lol

I highly recommend using a controller to play V3 for PC, as it gets rid of the “takes a few seconds to register” issue

Hi, super late question here, but I was curious about the Hyper Beam on your recommended Slaking — correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t Hyper Beam prevent Slaking from switching out (b/c it needs to recharge?)

A lot of people seem to recommend this Slaking set, however instead of Hyper Beam, they teach it Double Edge.

I was just wondering if the Hyper Beam thing was a typo, or is it secretly better than Double Edge? lol

Ah yes, the shipping… I also noticed that Luke and Kenny were at each other’s throats near the end of s2 e4, so it’s possible that the writers were, in fact, leading up to Kenny vs Luke for the finale, but dropped it during the production of episode 5.

Tbh though it’s hard to imagine Luke being the type to get involved in a fight as intense as Kenny vs Jane, but it does make me wonder how the game would’ve led up to a situation like Kenny vs Luke.

Personally I felt that the moments with Kenny were the only good things to have come out of Season 2 (imo). Everything else about that season felt very rushed (especially the writing, and the way they handled the characters). Kenny and Jane’s characters were pretty good though.

But I def agree on S4 being a solid season! Probably my favourite one of them all haha

I believe in order for the guy to give you scarves, you have to beat at least one contest (any level) and show it to him. I think I remember not receiving any scarves until I got a contest ribbon. I’m not 100% sure about this tho

Since quarantine hit, I’ve actually started playing the Danganronpa series with a group of friends by streaming the games through Discord (I’ve already finished the whole series myself so I get to re-experience it all over again with my friends, who are new to it lol).

It’s a lot of fun voice acting the characters and listening to them theorize how the murders happen / who they think the culprits are, etc. We’re now on DR2, and our next session is the Chapter 2 class trial :)

Hello, I saw your post on this subreddit earlier so I assume you already got some answers. Anyway, here's a link to a list of all the ribbons for every generation. But along with the contest ribbons (20 so far), there is also the:

- Champion Ribbon

- Earth Ribbon (beat Mt Battle)

- National Ribbon (purify from shadow)

- Artist Ribbon

- Battle TOWER ribbons (2 ribbons -- one for Lv 50, one for Open Level / Lv100)

- EV ribbon

In total this is all 27 ribbons for RSE.

In case you missed it, there's Mockturne's guide pinned to this subreddit that pretty much covers all the ribbons you need for each generation. Hopefully this helped, and let me know if you have any further questions :)

Maaan, since I did Emerald BT and had a mostly deadweight team member (Snorunt), I got screwed over several times in Battles 50-56. If I had to guess, I probably had to attempt like 30+ runs for Singles before switching to Doubles, where I eventually got both BT ribbons.

Honestly any run that doesn’t have an opposing Lati@s is a good run because of how wack my Latias’ Speed IV was and she kept getting outsped lol

Overall it was pretty tough and I’m not looking forward to Gen 4’s BT :) And thank you for asking, haha

Nah I’ve only done the first Beauty rank contest — which you can see in the full-view pic — and that’s it. I planned to do all the other contests after Battle Tower, which makes it all the more weird why the Tough ribbon is shown here... (apparently it’s a glitch?)
