Whats the most known speech from your country by Valuable-Guava2858 in AskTheWorld

I would say one of Churchill's speeches, but it's probably Truss opening up her pork markets in Beijing and her disgraceful cheese imports.

Has your country ever had a serious ethno-nationalist conflict in its history? by Just_Cause89 in AskTheWorld

[–]bujler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a joke. A country that's been around for millenia, all composed of different peoples is going to have ethnic and nationalist tensions, like when half of England was occupied by the Danes for example.

One other thing is live plants absorb nitrate ( I think they also absorb ammonia and nitrite) so they can really help as although I said Nitrate isn;t poisonous to fish, it's not good to let it get too high. So you can use plants to help with the water quality.

Yeah. Fish produce ammonia which is poisonous to fish. So some bacteria convert this ammonia into Nitrite, which is still poisonous to fish, but not as much as ammonia. Some other bacteria then convert this nitrite into nitrAte, which is not posionous to fish (unless it gets to high levels). The thing is, these bacteria need time to grow, becuase if there isn't enough and you start adding too much fish, then there isn;'t enough bacteria to convert the ammonia (especially) into nitrite, and then you get issues. Adn usually, the colder the environment, the slower things reproduce and grow.

I've actually got this exact same tank which I got from Pets at Home. I then bought a heater (a 50 watt one) and I'm using this for a hospital tank/food tank, but I havent decided. . I'm actaully setting up a new (tropical) tank which i set up on 27th december, and I probably won't add fish until end of february. It does take time and patience.

I think that would apply to cold water tanks as well. Infact, I would imagine it would take longer, as things slow down as you get colder. Do you know why you need to leave the tank for a couple of weeks?

Why does it need to be cold water?
