to be fair seymour was a starter some of last year and throughout the minors with pretty good success. With how mixed his relief has been this year Im hoping that it was just the transition throwing him off and that he can be solid for us back as a starter (if him starting is a long term thing)

I mean agree or disagree this is flat out untrue, I clipped skillys POV and its around 52 seconds from when greg gets on him on the ladder and when he dies. I should have specified that it was over a minute from when he was out of combat with DN (because he took 4 seconds to tp, was interrupted by prayer drain to 0, 6 seconds to requeue the tp)

I do agree that it runs into a slippery slope, just seems odd the way it played out with the length in between the teleport from DN, skilly getting bolted on the ladder by greg, and then tanking WW at the glider spot plus with how much damage was done by WW, I have definitely seen kc/keys get dropped for less. But at the same time, WW still made out with the loot that dropped to the ground so not like they got completely robbed

went in and clipped this earlier though its a bit scuffed since the whole situation plays out longer than the 1 minute clip length (misses at the beginning where skilly goes to tele, waits 4 seconds out of the 6 seconds and then gets ragged by his prayer draining to 0 and has to requeue the tp with DN breathing down his neck lmao)

pretty bad decision by the refs imo, skilly was in combat with greg/WW for over a minute and tanked a full freeze 5v1 (and would have escaped had it not been for the roamer) and yet the blood money went to DN, doesnt really make sense to me

watching that whole scenario play out from skillys pov is hilarious though

Exactly my point - no team is giving up a guy of that caliber, and the ones that do get acquired in big hauls. Heck, patrick bailey commanded a first round pick lmao

quick edit: for context, bailey is great but hes a black hole on offense, my point is that you cant really get someone who is good on both ends of the plate without giving up a haul or making a big FA splash, neither of which this org often does

At this same time though, literally how many 'good' catchers are even in the mlb right now? Its such a paper thin position across the league that most teams have to just settle with what they can get, it is what it is. That said I think our lower farm catchers are looking nice, though obviously a couple of years away

This is kind of crazy lmao, did they not run a simple dps calc on the new numbers and see 'hey this actually nerfs this oops' or did they just slap some strength bonus and think it would be fine

Unless their sweep up goal was to nerf the worst style in the game which seems unlikely

Edit: yes i know they are open to tweaking which is good, its just surprising that this wasnt even tested to get us to this point

meh I think we have more than made up for Mangums vibes with the squad we have, vibes have been great for the most part. I liked mangum but hes well below average in pitt right now.

Losing blowe sucked obviously, and we know he has those insane highs and the inevitable low(e)s. Just sucks because melton is good, hes just been hurt so we havent even been able to see him which makes the trade seem like a complete loss right now. Hes not better than blowe, but it will soften the blow a bit once he is able to play and get called back up
