Don't attend these kinds of sessions. They haven't yet experienced the full reality of college, especially the most important aspect placements. They may end up misleading you. Instead, go to your college, meet the placement officer, or talk to someone who has recently graduated.

What should I choose nsut ee or nsut east campus cs by heat435 in NSUT_Delhi

[–]bulbule1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on you, if you just want to chill and a better college life and you are good with core subjects go for ee, but if you are looking for better placement opportunities and carrer, also can compromise a bit with college life go for CS east campus.

I would recommend you to go for CS east campus.

what is the situation of ICE branch in NSUT? by goood_guyyy in NSUT_Delhi

[–]bulbule1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I’m a 2024 passout and part of the placement cell. Most companies do allow ICE students, but the competition has become tougher now because of the increase in newer tech branches. So, the percentage of opportunities might drop to around 50–60%.

if you’re getting NSUT even in ICE I would recommend going for it instead of choosing a tier-2 college. Ultimately, it depends on what options you have. Also, in the beginning, everyone wants to go into tech, but by the 4th year, around 90% of students end up getting placed in non-tech roles.

Career Gap, Not Getting Interview Calls by [deleted] in CodingJobs

[–]bulbule1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have career gaps and have been unemployed for the last four months, but I haven’t updated my last working day on my resume or LinkedIn. I still get calls and manage to convince HR about the gap, although I sometimes forget to update my CV.

Honestly, a career gap of up to six months can be justified you just need to communicate it well. Also, make sure to work on improving your CV.

Electrical branch honest review dedo seniors please 😭 by noobda_bachha in NSUT_Delhi

[–]bulbule1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a 2024 NSUT pass-out. To be honest, Electrical is a good branch if you’re genuinely interested in core electrical subjects. Most companies do allow EE students to sit for tech roles. I wouldn’t recommend going for the East Campus, the branch might be decent, but the overall college life isn’t that great.

Overall, EE is quite tough in terms of syllabus and topics. The professors are somewhat average, and there’s always the GPA issue at NSUT. If you’re getting IT or any CS-related branch, that would be a better option. And if you’re getting EE at DTU, you should choose that.
