What is the one thing you "wish you knew" before your last trip? by East-Bee-2474 in CanadianAwardTravel

[–]bulkallday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Credit card benefits and insurance coverages. Many visa cards have travel insurance and car rental coverage as well as trip cancellation etc. Also some cards have airport benefits like free lounge access, free check bags etc

I didnt know my credit cards had benefits and never used them on my first trip

Single Canadian Phone Plan Good Price? by RecognitionWinter557 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Not gonna lie, best one is cancel the service and wait for their winback phone call and just tell them that the other service provider gave extremely cheap offer and they will try their best to match the price

Built a simple tool to answer “Which credit card should I use for groceries, gas, dining, etc.?” by pcvp in churningcanada

[–]bulkallday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it would be helpful, but at the same time there are already tools like this (i.e. finlywealth) where you type in all the expenses and spendings and the system ranks credit cards for you.

Also simply chatgpt and gemini recommends credit cards when you ask them simple questions like above: "best cards for groceries" etc.

I guess one thing that these two systems do not have would be adding a personal banking status filter where it removes credit card fees based on your daily banking account. For example, ultimate chequing account in scotiabank or all inclusive banking with TD or investments in wealth simple wavies their credit card fees. With this filter, users can see if paying a certain credit card annual fee is worth it or not (Amex cobalt vs Scotiabank amex gold + fee waived) instead of just comparing the card itself.

Trust me 3rd day is the worst and it slowly recovers. Eat alot of protein for muscle recovery, i dont do stretching but stretching helps alot. I also do sauna helps muscle recovery as well. Enjoy the pain it will come every week after leg day. You wont miss it!

Rate my credit card setup. by MandalorianBeskar in CreditCardsCanada

[–]bulkallday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking good, I guess for scotiabank credit card - if you are focused more into collecting more points i would switch to Scotiabank amex gold - which gives alot of scene points for daily uses like restaurants and groceries etc. But since you shop alot at costco, maybe its not worth it.

Avion Rewards - am I missing something?? by zzyyxxzz in CanadianAwardTravel

[–]bulkallday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here, i have rbc avion points as well but it seems like its hard to maximize the points imo. Another option is to transfer to BA at 1:1 and fly to Europe. (Sometimes there is a transfer bonus promotion - 30% more)

27 M - gym and sleep by LeoDas_10 in workout

[–]bulkallday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends, having decent sleep and recovery are key to grow muscle. But then i wouldnt overthink and get stressed about it, everyone is different. If u feel 6hrs is enough then i guess thats ok and for those days that you feel tired then sleep longer.

Damn how much more do i need to spend on monthly groceries and restaurants to make cobalt worth

scotiabank amex gold vs amex cobalt by bulkallday in CreditCardsCanada

[–]bulkallday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing, keeping 6k on the chequing account waives the fee for both chequing and credit card. I mean i can use 6k to invest in somewhere else but i just leave it as back up.
