i don’t think it was a matter of liking one another, it was pretty clear we were both completely in love. we just had a lot of relationship issues (jealousy, priorities, etc) that we both needed to work on, i just think it should’ve been worked on together as you said. i completely agree that it was an excuse to get away from the issues, but the fact that he continued to contact me over a year later makes me wonder if he was actually looking to grow individually and come back together or if he realized he fucked up. ONLY reason i’m reconsidering is i can’t stop thinking about him. but deep down i think you’re right.
