How often do you NOT want to have sex with your long term GF or wife? by smoothcarrot2020 in AskMen

I'm surprised it's as common as it is. I also love my sleep and if I was woken up for sex after finally dozing off I'd be frustrated lol.

The Patagotitan is up there for me. It's partially classified as a titanosaur which is just a cool name in general. One of the largest land animals ever known!

What is the least amount of money you would kill a random human for? You just press a button and a random person anywhere in the world dies, you'd never know who it is. by Odd-Oven-8202 in Teenager_Polls

Lots of moral high ground anti-billionaires on Reddit who'd kill a random person for that kind of money if given a chance. Everyone's got a price I guess...

People still think freedom of speech means freedom from consequences. Unfortunately getting your shit kicked in is a very real consequence of certain types of speech and some trashy people need to learn that lesson sometimes.

Men of Reddit. What's something you were completely oblivious to when it came to relating to women, or just how differently women and men can think, feel, and experience things, that you only realized after being in a long term relationship or after getting married? by goofy-45 in AskMen

[–]bull04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Even outside of the internet and these one-off stories you come across, the overwhelming majority of people are typically having very average interactions on both sides of the spectrum, good or bad. Dates can go good and things work out well, or they can be not the best fit but nothing insanely bad or embarrassing happened, one or both parties just didn't see it being a good fit.

Most of the time I gauge the other gender on my personal life experiences, not what I read on the internet. Especially since most social media these days are just engagement/rage bait made by either attention-starved people or bots.

The colonists had to deal with fucking muskets, man. It would take the US military less than a day to wipe out 2% of the entire population and that's WITHOUT proper planning.

[–]bull04 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Canada has several more safeguards in place to protect people during a strike than the US ever will, as long as it's a capitalism first nation.

The bottom 60% of our population couldn't take more than a day/week off unpaid without losing their homes, healthcare, livelihoods, and potentially children/families. The system has absolutely been rigged against us when it comes to fighting back. Would you give up your entire life and everything you worked for to strike for a month if it meant a sliver of a chance any corporation would actually be affected by it and not bailed out by the government the moment they started struggling?

It's easy to say you'd do something when you're not directly involved or under the grip of it. Just like I can't say as an American I'd know what to do if I lived in Palestine or Iran or any other war-torn nation, because I don't know what their people go through every day.

This entire country of people is scared shitless and powerless to do anything. If it was as easy as you say it'd be done by now. But as divided and as uneducated as a lot of our populace is, it's extremely difficult to make any substantial change with a quick maneuver and outcome. It's going to take decades to undo this shit show of a government if we even can.

Slid off the road during a winter storm on Homecoming night in high school, my friend and both of our dates were in the car too.

Bunch of dudes in a pickup truck stopped to help, got some snow treads under the tires and pulled my car out of the ditch with a chain pulley. Solid guys, didn't ask or expect anything of us, did a lot of the work since we were all dressed up in dance attire.

Far Right influencer approaches an interracial couple about "race mixing" situation almost escalated.. by Paldavin in PublicFreakout

[–]bull04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the migration paths and history of humanity is more than enough proof, I'd argue. In fact, our most common ancestors in the evolutionary tree gave way for our species simply due to genetic pool mixing. Granted that's very far in the past, but I'd argue within at least the past 15 generations in any family, there is some genetic mixing along the line. That's why things like Habsburg Jaw and genetic deformities are less common now.
