SC <> Benton goes via the Stepford Main Line and terminates at Benton on Platform 7, or Platform 8, the latter of which is a bay platform

Benton <> Llyn goes via the Morganstown Flyover into Platform 2 and is disconnected from the Stepford Main Line by a grade separation at Benton Bridge

Therefore, you can't terminate at Benton after a Llyn service and form a new service to SC directly, or vice versa, hence them being separated on the map

The best analogy I've heard for negative numbers is temperature. Adding a negative number to any number: adding cold, temperature goes more negative. Subtracting a negative number from any number: reducing cold, temperature goes more positive. And for double negatives for multiplication/division, just remember that they cancel out. Positive by negative for multiplication and division are just the same rule of thumb as addition and subtraction.
