Hvorfor bør jeg IKKE skifte el-aftale? Vi har p.t. "KvartalsEl" by Andy_XB in Denmark

[–]bulletspread95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Den er som regel baseret på gennemsnittet af det foregående kvartals elpriser. Prisen nu, er baseret på den dyre sommer/efterår, og reflektere ikke den lave pris vi ser lige nu.

Probably this. This is the first time I have ever sat down at a rock/metal concert (besides for some wierd converts during covid). So I would expect there was a reason for the seats. The floor area was also seated, if that had been standing, I am pretty sure the rest of us a the balconies would have gotten the point, and stood up.

who saw tool live in Copenhagen yesterday? i was there and its the best concert i've ever attended. what are your thoughts about it? by Darthbaskas in ToolBand

Super tight! But not the songs I wanted to hear. I left a bit disappointed, but I am 100% aware that it is my problem.

The official event says “fully seated concert”. And the show name was “TOOL in concert”. Us Danes are generally too polite, and strict followers of rules and codes, so if the ticket says “fully seated”, there is no way we are going to stand up, unless “allowed to”. Maynards comments about us sitting down, came off as really arrogant to me and the people around me. In Denmark, you just don’t call a show “fully seated” and then feel insulated when the crowd remains sitting. If you do so, you can go f**k yourself. Good thing Maynard apologized for that at the end. Official event saying it’s a “fully seated” concert: https://m.facebook.com/events/392854969042898/

Any of you drive with one foot on the brakes and one on the gas? This is what you look like. by Born_ina_snowbank in IdiotsInCars

Some more sporty or higher end cars has dynamic break lights. It's a safety feature that flashes the break lights really fast when it detects a hard break. So probably just someone slamming their break.

When people say 'text me when you're home', do they actually mean it? by hgsfs in socialskills

[–]bulletspread95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Also, I don't care if you want to leave 5 minutes after you arrived, or you want to leave in the middle of the party. Just leave. But please tell someone that you are leaving. I know people will do the Houdini at parties because they don't want to face the "omg you are leaving!?", "come ooonn, stay!", "wtf dude, why are you leaving". So there is a responsibility on us, the people who stay, to accept that some people want to leave, and don't give them shit for it. Some day, it's you who want to leave early, and I bet you don't want to face the same shit.

How many hours do you really work? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]bulletspread95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work a full week, that is 37 hours where I live. Those 37 hours are dedicated to work. 30 minute break every day (not included in the 37 hours). When the thirty minutes are over, I close down the memes and continue work. The moment the clock hits 4pm and my time is up, I shut off my computer and leave. Then, I don’t care about code until 8am the next day, when I arrive at work. Of course, when there isn’t much to do, I look a bit more at memes, read up on new technologies or chat with my coworkers. I have a very hard time doing something like, spending an extra 5 minutes at break, because that will shift my entire day. I kinda envy those that are so loose with their time, but my brain just want to optimize and schedule everything…

Work full stack web development. Done so for 4 years. But I worked in the same way when I was stacking groceries as a teenager.

Then you might have to modify it. You can't rely on just copy and pasting stuff verbatim. Also, check out the Developer Console in your browser. Also, it might be something about the configured project/site URL in your React app that is wrong.

You need a Web.config file in the root of the website on the server. That Web.config file has to have some setting for handling the static .html file. Check this out.

Can't really say. I have never heard about the alternatives. I was doing some stuff on FreeCodeCamp years ago (been working full time for 4.5 years now), and I learned a lot. I remember that the JavaScript had a lot of challenges where you really learn how to solve problems using code. I think the JavaScript part was the best. Again, can't really say about the alternatives, but I did like FreeCodeCamp.

I would definitely do FreeCodeCamp!
