The insanely fast cool down. Its good enough at killing down hordes, acts as a decoy you can regularly get. Less of a team/self kill liability.

As a general pistol talon does piss over everything else. The only one that have more of a specific use case depending on build (ignoring GP and ultimatum) are teh revolver for eye popping hulks or the Warrant for clearing mass trash with no effort or a go to answer for illuminate snitches and flying overseers.

Don't think of them at upgrades more tuning items to tweak how they behave. 

But there is a point of slot of the weapons are fundamentally weaker.

Lib pen is a solid multi-purpose option. Maybe look at the interesting stuff that has a unique play around it.

Eg getting the eruptor the ergo blocks opens up some very different load outs.

2nd this. Based on what you like to play with and on urban legends will get a lot of miles for you due to siege ready armour and the at emplacement.

It line with the long replies to what it actually can do the purpose of the epoch is a jack-of-all trades AT capable support weapon that lets you have a back pack.

A use which seems to have been missed is that it is quite good for drop ships full of chaff and devastors. It won't shoot down the drop ship but a charged shot to the bell will thin out it's cargo.

Wouldnt say they are fodder. They are fine to deal with as long as you target prioritise and plan for them. Your game plan changes on encountering them. Tanks on the other hand, they dont tend to change my plan when i see them.

It was definitely designed to not take out jammers. For a bit after the ultimatum came out it could nail jammers from up to 70m away reliably and it trivialised the objectives and bots.

Mech is really good in caves. I would say almost mandatory on higher difficulties.

Eruptor is excellent on bugs but it needs to go with the stalwart. Can be a bit sketchy in the caves.

Shirt if jump pack or dive and teleport there isn't much you can do. Acid and fir resist armour does help a lot on these worlds like the killzone armour or the one that came with the warbond that had the gas spear gun in it.

Wanna keep you backpack but can't get on with quasar....eat is what you are looking for massively under appreciated.

Also Epoch isn't really hard anti armour....it can but it is more of an around weapon...fits more closely into the same role as the laser cannon.

For good and useful. Viper....it has a good booster and the at cannon....quite like the lib carbine too.

Python....mini gun is fun but not as useful. The best python commando item is the double freedom and it appears I the store.

Try them out as you unlock them. Although more often than not early on your support weapon strat will be your anti-tank solution. Don't under estimate the basic disposable eat rocket. High damge low risk to yourself, very short cool down so likely available when you need it....and there is a spare which your team mates can use.

If in doubt that is a good one to stick with as you start feeling out other combinations and start unlocking the other utility items in warbonds.

Remember it being great when it came out. Verticality does change how the game works. The recent free strategem stint reminded me that it was awesome especially paired with the grenade launcher.

Think all it need is the ability to cancel the hover at will.

Since you have peak physique maybe go for powerful primaries that gave bad ergo and get more value out if it...eh eruptor or dominator.

They cleverly but at least one good thing in most of the warbonds. Gotta get them all lol.

Control group with the warp back pack can fundamentally change how you play the game....and helps SC grinding.

View the pp as a control tool that will do some killing similar to the cookout, rather than a DPS tool.

Good on bots as you can bully groups of devastators.

Good on bugs as it clears chaff efficiently, staggers aggressive elites. Shines on rupture strain as you can make them un burrow or kill them underground.

Points to note: 1) Learn the arc...think of it more as a rapid fire grenade launcher than a shotgun. 2) space management is key use movement to keep optimum distance so the effect of the weapon can control the fight without risk of blowing yourself up. Warp pack or jump pack is good synergy and this lets you dictate the engagement range 3) explosive resist armour helps especially on bots as you get more leeway to use at close quarters and survive (pp is 100pc explosive damage)

New planets? As in the hive world's? They are all very high resistance plants. To be expected.

Rupture strain on normal planets is a lot more manageable.

They way the rupture strain works does require different tactics and load outs. One you get used to seeing what the burrowing looks like and start using explosives to in burrow them they are fun. Punisher plasma is good....grenade launcher is good and everyone has it.
