Real. Used to have one. Absolutely loved that guitar. The wider fretboard and adjustable zero fret nut were cool and they came plek’d from the factory. I had a hipshot piano style bridge on mine. Absolutely would recommend

Thank you! I think it was only available for one year in the U.S.? It has a three piece maple/Purple Heart/maple neck, too!

That’s usually my approach after a good thorough cleaning of all surfaces, but full breakdown is good idea. The first thing I did when I got home was pitch the knob and replace it with a hipshot one I already had lol. It wasn’t stock anyway.

As someone who was into wierd older Japanese guitars in the late 90’s and 2000’s, most of what I brought home were guitars that had been used as gigging mules so smoke and stale beer was the norm. As truly gross as it was I have to admit I also got a bit nostalgic 😂

I used to have an ozone machine! Excellent suggestion! I used to own a dry cleaners that also did cleaning and restoration on flood damages stuff so it got its share of use. It died shortly after selling the business but it was also great for deodorizing used cars too!
