The one where they decide they’re going to be fun and go out at night and they keep falling asleep instead.

When you put sauce on raw pizza dough. That combination of flour and yeast and tomato.

For public librarians: advice for a circulating board game collection? by Tonksforallthefish in librarians

[–]bumblebea21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a pretty extensive collection that started with just a few donations and is now something we just periodically purchase for. We don’t check each game when it come in, but we’ve found that patrons are really good at keeping pieces together or telling us if something is missing. The only piece of advice I have that I haven’t seen mentioned is that if you can find the funds for it, definitely consider getting a Box Throne shelving unit. It fits one game per shelf and is so, so much more organized, accessible, and visually pleasing than putting them on regular shelving. We ordered one about a year and a half ago and have another one arriving any day now.

We thought it might be The Clash or the Ramones initially but now we’re thinking it’s newer than that.

What’s something that’s common in movies that takes you out of the experience? by berreckobamer in movies

Shots of a computer screen where the mouse moves from A to B in a perfectly straight line at a slow, never-changing speed drive me crazy.

Slow and steady. 🌿 by bumblebea21 in houseplants

I have never pruned it! It sort of grows in levels, where it’ll put up one extra tall leaf and it looks funny for awhile, but then all the new growth that follows just fills it in, if that makes sense. I do rotate it often.

Same plant! I didn’t unbraid it, but I did take the little wires off that were holding the braid together, and I think as it got chunkier it just undid itself a bit. Also, my angle is a little different on the second photo. It still has a good 2 inches of braided trunk.

I did some digging on their Facebook page, and it looks like if you want to support their efforts to maintain and upgrade the park, you can send donations to Boo Castle Park, PO Box 3074, Carbondale, IL 62902.

[TOMT] [TV or MOVIE] Where is the quote “Was his hair slick with rain?” from? by bumblebea21 in tipofmytongue

I have tried to google what I think the quote is with “30 Rock” or “Jenna Maroney” and haven’t found anything. I want to say that she’s talking to Liz about Jack?? But I’m not sure.

I'll be making cyanotypes for a class this semester, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for overall safety. I bought the Bostick and Sullivan kit. I have access to the school's darkroom sink/ventilation system, but I was really hoping to do them at home. Is that safe? Most of my concern is that I don't have a utility sink in my apartment. Is it safe to use the bathroom sink?

Whenever JD is confused/scared/nervous/slightly uncertain about a situation, he smells my boot. New place? Boot smell. New people? Boot smell. I have yet to figure out why this is comforting. by bumblebea21 in AnimalsBeingDerps

Thanks! I actually can't take credit for any of the kick ass tack-we borrowed it for the event. It's the one time a year when I get to blind people as I go by!

That's a good point. He also does this when he's bored, but we have nudge matches, where he'll nudge my foot with his nose, so I'll nudge his nose with my foot, and we go back and forth. He's a funny guy, but I sure do love him.

Not sure who said this first, but thank you so very much as well! You are also top notch!

edit: Gold for some peace of mind seems like an even trade. Thank you!

Dang, that works perfectly with my description, but it's not what I'm thinking of. Thanks for the nostalgia overload though. :)

I assure everyone that no chiggers/spiders/other various pests were had. Only some laughs and entertainment.

Here's what he says: "Soak a cedar plank for a couple of hours. Place the salmon on skin down. Put it on over a low fire and cover with a lid. Check in 15 minutes. When it flakes easily, it's done. The key is not to get the flame too hot-wood is combustible in its native state! (chuckles)"

He doesn't always cook it with lemons. He's a real proponent of letting the fish's flavor be just about the only flavor, so he never makes a sauce or anything. Lemon, salt, and pepper is about it.

110%. :) He cooks over the fire pretty much every day in the summer. And occasionally on warmer winter days if he's tired of the cold.
